Well, Creation did what the Tron folks couldn't do, if they even tried. David Warner, yep, Ed Dillinger/Sark himself will be appearing at this year's Star Trek VegasCon. I went last year so didn't intend to go this year, darnit. Phoenix ComicCon has Bruce Boxleitner this year so I'm already slated for that. But nice to see Mr Warner getting out amongst the fans.

Issues, ey?
That's awfully reminiscent of Sir Alec Guinness with playing Obi-Wan. Interestingly enough, Ewan McGregor also had problems with playing Obi-Wan, but played it off as "being cool" so it didn't bug him as much.

:-( What issues?
I always hate hearing about actors who have "issues" from playing fave characters of mine.

David Warner refuses to talk about his role in TRON and his experiences on the set. He just won't do it.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online "Word to the Motherboard!" - IsoLine |

LWSrocks Wrote:Maybe he had some bad experiences with the movie, who knows. I wish someone would ask him what the problem is so that we would know. Since TR3N seems like it's going to be a nostalgia-fest, but such a nostalgia-fest wouldn't be complete without at least a cameo from David Warner. |
That is just it, he wouldn't talk about anything regarding his experiences on TRON. The man completely ignores his involvement in the movie, when asked. That kind of stonewalling has kept us all baffled for years. "Word to the Motherboard!" - IsoLine |

In that docu-film with all the cast and crew, it was wonderful hearing about the fun they had on set (when they weren't feeling frustrated by the type of work it was, blue screen nul sets and all), Dan Shor said it was like play time, Bruce and Jeff mentioned the videos games they had for in between shots. Cindy had fun being the only girl on set and so on. So to hear David not wanting to discuss it at all saddens me. Heck, even Bill Shatner doesn't bad mouth Trek anymore.
Last year at VegasCon, they issued a warning for Julie Newmar. DO NO DISCUSS BATMAN OR CATWOMAN. :-( I loved her as Catwoman! So maybe they will issue a warning re David and Tron.

I'm planning on trekking entirely across the country for this just to troll trekkies in a Sark costume awesome yeah! meet Mr. Warner despite being a decidedly casual Star Trek fan, and I'm just wondering; what's the source to these accounts of him refusing to talk about/being bitter about Tron?
He's discussed it several times in passing before with fans and in interviews, both old and new, [and in one fairly recent interview on his website, he gives a very enthusiastic 'yes' to what his answer would be if he were contacted for Tron 3] and I've always been pretty skeptical about it, given the wild amounts of misinformation about him on the internets. [e.g. Despite popular believe, he doesn't have a son, he didn't do some weird insurance fraud thing back in the 70's, etc, etc.]
Woo, what a first post!

Welcome, BL. I just know that sometimes actors hating to be typecast will bad mouth some production or other, but I have read nothing about Mr Warner. I just noticed he was not in the The Making of Tron docufilm. Wonder if anyone did ask about Tron, would ehe refuse to answer, get upset at the query, or just respond graciously.
