I think it'd be pretty hard to bring Kevin Flynn or Clu back, they both died/derezzed in Legacy. Plus, it would kind of negate the climax of the last film. I do agree that they could possibly, *possibly* have his spirit in the Grid...but I feel that would create too many parallels to Star Wars.

I'm not opposed at all to having Flynn in the film from his video logs, like what we saw in the intro of Evolution. I'd be surprised if Bridges was back. Hell, I was surprised he was not only back for the sequel, but played two major characters for it (Flynn and Clu). Not many actors are cool enough to reprise an old role from a nearly 30 year old geek movie, let alone have more screen time than anyone else.

At any rate, I give him major props for doing Legacy, and I'm sure that if he does reappear in 3, it will only be a small role or cameo. He's going to be doing less movies in general now as well because he's focusing on his passion for music, and to spend more time with his wife and family.

Then again, if they can resurrect Spock like they did in Star Trek 3, they can surely resurrect Flynn with a reasonably plausible way of doing it. Never underestimate sci-fi movies' ability to bring back supposedly dead characters.

Personally, I'd rather see Kevin Flynn back. Tron movies just wouldn't seem the same without him involved. Actually, my first thought after the ending details was, "Kevin Flynn's back in a sequel." Maybe Neo Matrix style, just taking a bit longer. That would be a bit humorous.

Plus, the idea of a father/son battle of Flynns vs. Dillingers is too much to pass up.
