the fact that many movies are released in Blue-ray nowadays really bother me. I dont have a blue-ray player yet i may be forced to buy one in this rate.

Nobody is releasing movies exclusively to Blu-ray. I don't see the problem.
Anyway, Blu-ray has such a major advantage over DVD in resolution alone that if you enjoy film as a visual medium, it's worth the investment. Once you've seen a classic film in Blu-ray after years of seeing it on SD home video formats, you realise what you've been missing.
Seeing Disney's Sleeping Beauty on Blu-ray was revelatory to me--I'd never experienced anything at home that was so close to the full cinematic experience before. Just wonderful. Yeah, The Phantom Menace will be first, with later films staggered over several years. As a hardcore SW fan, I'll see them all, but I'm kind of lukewarm on the whole 3D conversion trend.

I had the exact same experience with Sleeping Beauty's Blu Ray! Also, Last Starfighter looks amazing on Blu-Ray.
