I'm surprised they used BLOOD as the way to determine a user. That gives the impression that if a disc had hit him square he wouldn't have 'derezzed' but instead spilled his entrails all over the floor.
I think some other way should have been used, like immediate regeneration. Can a user 'die' on the grid? Seems like they can be splatted. In the original Flynn only needs a nap to get back to strength.

Great question. I got no answers. Though it does seem the blood of Sam is a kind of digital blood. It didn't smear like real blood, it remained congealed in globules that almost hovered on the digital surface of the arena.

There's shock for you right there. Can you imagine how that would look to a program? Was playing with a small bit of fanfic in which a user's setting Tron straight on what the real world is like...because really, they don't know what gore IS in the Grid, right? The most violent death is just a pixelation. The small piece I wrote essentially deals with evil and such, considering that a lot of the evil and terrible stuff you see in the real world doesn't exist in the Grid, period--no child or animal abuse because there aren't children or animals, no horrible gory torturous deaths, etc. Something like that would shock the coding right out of them. What do you want? I'm busy.
Program, please!
Chaos.... good news. |
