My wife and 6 year old daughter decided to surprise me this Christmas with the Limited Edition Oakley Tron Pitboss sunglasses so I figured I'd post up some detailed pics along with a few extra pics of my Tron collection for your enjoyment...


This is what comes with the sunglasses... a special wooden case with the Tron blue color, and the cloth storage bag with the Tron emblems.

Me and my special little angel. We went straight to the movie on opening day from the hospital where I had underwent heart surgery.
That's how dedicated I was to see that movie with my daughter

Ahh... to feel like a young kid again, lol... priceless moment. :-)

Nice to meet you, my friend. Thank you for the kind words. Things are going well after my surgery... had a pacemaker and pacer wire replaced which made the surgery risky. My heart is partly mechanical and made of carbon fiber so after having survived 5 open heart surgeries I've dedicated the rest of my life to inspiring others to maintain a healthy heart. I posted some links to a newspaper and magazine features in my introductory thread in this subforum that talk a bit more about my heart awareness efforts, but that's why Tron is very special to me... both movies came at times where I survived risky heart surgeries and the cool part is I get to have software downloaded into me from time to time... literally I feel like the bionic man, lol.

Thanks for the kind words about my collection... it's not much compared to some of the people on here who have immense collections like DaveTron and a few others, but my collection makes me happy... plus my 6 year old daughter is enjoying the Tron movies too... she enjoyed watching Tron Legacy... a true father/daughter bonding moment. :-)

Thank you so much! Isn't it just amazing to be a parent that can share his/her Tron passion with their kids? These are the moments that make me so happy to still be alive after my 5 heart surgeries.

Holy crap Navin, that is crazy! I'm glad you are doing well after your surgery. That is hardcore dedication to get out of the hospital after an operation and go to the movie. I wish good health for you and your family, I'm sorry you've had all of those problems with your heart but having a carbon fiber heart that gets software updates is about the coolest silver lining I've ever heard of.

Thanks Chris! The Tron movie director (Joe Kosinski) had heard about my story about my heart surgery and seeing the movie on the same day I was discharged from the hospital, so he's sending me a personally autographed Tron poster in the mail. Will definitely take some pics when it comes in hopefully soon!

Believe it or not, I don't feel sorry or bad for having gone thru my surgeries. It's the hardships that we endure in life that truly test us and define our characters. My surgeries have taught me to love every second of life and not take anyone or anything for granted. My goal is to hopefully inspire others to live heart-healthy lives and spread awareness to folks like me who were born with congenital heart conditions.
