My beautiful wife gave me a Legacy Light Cycle for christmas.
WOW this toy is as awsome as the 1998 FX X-wing (lights and sonuds), in Exibition mode 8 different sounds are activated by the Ignition button and 4 different extended sounds in 1 mode (on)
1st is rev up, sprint, slow down, short sprint and low speed.
2nd is rev up, high speed and rev down
3rd is cruise
4th is high speed

Yep. Hands down, that's the best of the Deluxe vehicles out there.
The sound fx are definitely what sets it apart from both the Kevin Flynn Lightcycle and the Light Runner, even though both are also great designs. Thanks to my wife again for finding Core Rinzler, $18.00 (ouch) Toys R US. but he does look great on a blue lightcycle  and IF I stumble on CLU's lightcycle I might get it for my son.

I ended up getting a second core Sam Flynn to swap heads and replace the 3-joint wonder that ships with the vehicle. Much easier now to remove the rider and having the chest to light up also is an added bonus.

The figure with the bike helmet on it's own does look a little lame, though.

The switch in the front wheel for the motion works well, move the lightcycle fast and it gives you a fast sound, move it slow and it generates a slow sound... Spin Master have made such an awsome toy (and the Impuse Projection).
