It's been up on Razer's site for order. I saw the mouse only back at the Pop Up Shop when I was there in December, and decided to hold off. I actually had just ordered the mouse from Amazon because I was giving up, but Razer finally put it up for sale the day after I ordered from Amazon. I'll be sending the mouse back (didn't open it) to Amazon.

Both are packaged together nicely - it's not just a thin box and some cheapie stuff. They thought about presentation, that's for sure. The driver and application you download from Razer's site allows you to customize the buttons on the mouse and to turn off the lighting effects.

The mouse is actually comfortable in my hand - not too big, not too small. The scroll wheel lighting makes it look like Sam's lightcycle tire. Kinda neat. When you plug it into the USB port, it makes a Tron sound but that's it, and it blinks on - the lights don't just come on solid. It's a nice touch.

The mousemat is pretty cool as well, and the light trail is a neat effect, but at some point you're not going to be staring at it.

All in all, was it worth the $129.99? To me, yes. For the average Joe, probably not. I don't do gaming so I can't test how well the mouse functions that way. As a mouse, well, it works just fine.

I still want the keyboard which is still unreleased by Razer.

Hey.... I bought my Razer Tron mouse a couple of weeks back from one of Razer's authorized retailers... I'd like to buy the mouse mat now, but I can't find any place that is selling the mouse mat by itself... very strange since you can buy the mouse by itself or the mouse with the mat.

Any idea whether the mat can be purchased by itself?

You're right... a rep from Razer replied to the email I sent him and he confirmed it. Very strange that they sell the mouse separately, mouse and mat together, but not the mat separately. I tried asking them if they could break their mouse/mat bundle package and just sell me the mat since they could sell the mouse separately as they already do but no luck.
