New member, avid Tron Collector, with an AMAZING story to share...

Hello Everyone,
It's with great honor and respect that I make my first post here. I stumbled upon this site today and I'm amazed by all the fellow Tron enthusiasts here... I hope to get to know you all better. :-)
Before I post up my collection, I'd like to share an amazing story... I'm a 5 time open heart surgery survivor who is now 37 years old, and I'm part man, part mechanical... my heart is partly mechanical and I have a pacemaker which is cool because I get to have software downloaded inside me (feel like the bionic man, lol).
Tron has a special place in my heart because when the original Tron movie came out in the early 80s, I had just undergone open heart surgery #3 and for my birthday someone had gotten me a Tomy yellow Tron LIght Cycle that I still have with the ripcord intact... it's scratched up a bit with heavy use but I wouldn't have it any other way... it's my favorite toy of all time. One of the themes of the new Tron movie is the importance of understanding the balance of technology in our lives, and the movie takes the approach that warns of the dangers of succumbing too much to technology. My life contradicts the movie's approach... to me it's not dangerous to succumb to technology... technology is literally keeping me alive... I'm part man and part mechanical/electronic, so technology IS me

I've dedicated my life now to raising heart awareness and inspiring others to maintain a healthy heart and I accomplish this thru my passion of competing on the show car scene with a heavily modified car made of the same material that my partly mechanical heart is made from... carbon fiber. I'm sponsored by various companies and have been featured in magazines, newspaper, and MTV even interviewed me last year in Chicago at a car show... not sure when they aired the interview though.

I recently had a risky surgery to replace my pacemaker and broken pacemaker wire and I luckily survived my surgery and on the day I left the hospital it was the same day as when the Tron movie came out so my dream came true to take my 6 year old daughter to see the movie. Since I wasn't sure if I'd survive my surgery, I was able to get in touch with the Tron Legacy movie director and tell him how much the Tron movies have meant to me, so his office is sending me a personally autographed Tron poster autographed by the director, Joe Kosinski. I'm grateful to be alive today... I believe I was kept alive so I could live to see the day I could serve my wife and 2 little girls aged 6 and 1.
