Thanks for pointing that article out.
I had some really good information and comments.
Certainly worth the read.

and think that what they do not understand
must be the void.

This is not the true void. It is bewilderment...”

Notes:

- Love the info about the board room scene being filmed in the original Encom tower (AT&T building) and Boxleitner being ferried there via helicopter and landing on the top of the building like the end of the last movie!

- There's 43 minutes that go from 2.4:1 to 1.77 (almost fills IMAX screen) in the IMAX version in the Tron world. That's kind of a cool touch.

- Debate about prolonged sequence of digitization: didn't want to do it because it was done so well in the first one. It's an interesting choice. He was going for a bigger surprise when Sam runs out the doors and it becomes 3D. It's interesting, but to be honest I didn't think the 3D was all that great in that shot. It's weird because I didn't notice it that much.

- Interesting he'd like to have the script in a better place from day one rather than developing as it's shooting. I hope so too! I know it's pretty common for them not to be but it seems like it makes to get that more nailed down before you begin.

- Unreleased Daft Punk tracks! They locked the album 2 months before they finished the movie. He mentions the song for the Solar Sailor sequence in particular and one song in the End of Line Club. For the latter, I think he's talking about "Castor" which ended up on the deluxe 2-disc album, I believe. Lots of demos left too... so there could be more coming! I hope so. I'd love to hear more. He was trying to get an isolated soundtrack on the Blu-Ray but it might not be possible.

- The original scene with the heads of the various factions in Zuse's private room sounds intriguing. Too bad it had to be cut. I do think some of those things could have added to the texture of the film.

- Interesting that there was an MCP easter egg in Kevin Flynn's lab. I didn't see that. I saw the game but apparently there is a ton of easter eggs in there.

- I liked hearing more about Pixar's involvement... and David Finchers... and Ben Affleck's.... pretty intriguing. The boardroom scene came out of reshoots to give Sam's break in more purpose. I'm glad they did that. It made Sam see more heroic. The figurines of Clue and Tron WERE in the reshoots! So... they could have been SpinMaster prototypes! Hmmm...

- Interesting that the fight with Sam and the Sentry's as he's going for the disc was cut because they didn't have time to shoot it. I actually think an action scene right there might have been nice.

- Not a barebones version for DVD/Blu-Ray in Spring/Summer. That's cool. Even if a super-special edition comes out at the holidays.order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

Awesome interview...

I *pray* Disney gives Joe some time and money to film those extra scenes for BluRay!
I would LOVE for there to be a "Tron: Legacy Extended Director's Cut" I'd pay extra for it!

I totally knew he loved those songs....They happen to be some of my favorites from the soundtrack as well.

That line about the scene with Bartik. Fantastic, If I were the head of the Disney Channel or even SYFY, I would find a way to get him to make a TRON miniseries where his ideas didn't have to be cribbed because time and script issues ate up the filming schedule. This is why cable television is dying. Because they mostly run crap that no one wants to sit throuth 3 hours of. order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pillabortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

Kosinski did a great job and I dont blame him for having short time to shoot the film as problematic. He definitely needs more time for TRON 3. I hope he does some new scenes for the Directors Cut.
