Small thread here. I just wanted to know when it is you felt that Rinzler started becoming Tron again.
For me, it was a little when he saw that Sam was bleeding. My reason being, that programs obviously didn't like Users, so Rinzler/Tron could have decided kill him then and there.
Instead he brought him to CLU 2
And after that sequence, they have him go on the light cycles. Apparently something "special" prepared for Users.
"Reveal your creation date or I will disassemble your code one operation at a time!"

i was overjoyed that tron lived, but kinda upset he was the bad guy (but rinzler is still cool), and happy again when he turned back to tron in the end  .
but sam could have died, so i guess i'm glad tron is not completely brainwashed.

The writers say in an interview linked in another thread that this was, indeed, the moment when the "amnesia" induced by Clu was starting to wear off. I thought that made sense to me too.

but if you think of it real-world wise, when can a program start to "remember" something? :0 like how someone needs to rewrite a program in order to change it.

More like the blood triggered execution of a code path that hadn't been accessed in a long time.
