It would of been awesome to see Disney sponsor a MotoGP team for one race in full Tron design. It's been done in Formula 1 with Star Wars and Oceans 12 as a promotion. Imagine seeing a motorcycle in Light Cycle livery/graphics and the rider in Tron suit. Too late now.

I agree, woulda been majorly cool.
Especially if they'd somehow found a way to engineer a working, life-sized version of the 5th Gen light cycle design.

but you gotta consider if they would even accept the offer and who would watch (i know i would).
but yeah, i totally agree with the marketing for this movie is lame, except i watch disney channel now for the little tron tv spots.

MotoGP is huge...in Europe and some parts of Asia. It's big here in the states too (2 riders from the U.S.). We host 2 MotoGP races here (Laguna Seca and Indianapolis). I'm sure had Disney jumped on the Moto GP wagon for 1 race it would raise public awareness big time. Plus the MotoGP audience is fairly young and falls into Disney's target audience. Imagine the one-off merchandising.
