I want Tron Legacy to kick ass but there seems to be so much doubt about it. I'm starting to get nervous that it might not be as awesome as I hoped it would be:

Agreed. I wouldn't concern myself with whether or not I will like one more than the other or which one is the better film. It will all sort itself out once you've SEEN Legacy. Postulating about something that hasn't happened yet is just inviting anxiety upon yourself for no good reason. And pouring over what critics think about a sequel to a film that most critics have already written off as silly and dumb is a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy, isn't it.
From what I have heard it seems that those who truly enjoy and appreciate TRON will get the most out of Legacy, so there you go! Have fun with it and see it in IMAX! ; )

When I reviewed the movie, I was honest about the flaws, yet I gave it an 8/10. Why? Because despite it's flaws it's a lot of fun. The original was the same. No-one should get disheartened by negative views. One, you might not agree. Two, how many decent movies were slated on their first run only to become classics?
I get bored by people who post that something is 100% wonderful when it plainly isn't and accuses others of being "negative". Life ain't like that. I don't like blinkered views.
