Just got done reading through both and I must say, if the movie is similar to these, it will be a decent movie (depending on acting). The plot isn't amazing, but it's, again, decent. A couple of things I took away from them:
SPOILER... Mouse Over To Read:- Programs derez, users bleed.
- Clu is trying to steal Flynn's identity disc and, as some predicted, escape to the real world.

Hey cinderbike:
Maybe I missed something, but I've read and re-read over my TRON:BETRAYAL pt 2 several times and I just don't see why people keep saying that. . .
SPOILER... Mouse Over To Read:Clu wants to steal Flynn's disc and cross over to the real world?
SPOILER... Mouse Over To Read:
If anything, especially due to an interview of a certain person who's playing a character in TL, I would think it would be this person instead of Clu, who wants to cross over.

SPOILER... Mouse Over To Read: "Genetic algorythms"... mentioned by Alan Bradley" Perhaps Flynn wrote into the system the ability to construct a unique DNA and RNA gene sequence/bio pattern to materialise a specially encoded digital entity into the real world. Wasn't that a concept that was part of the "Tron 3.0" game concept? If the system can re-materialise Flynn, maybe a Program that's been specially encoded with specific genetic algorythms canbe materialized into the real world.... Flynn's journel notes hint that he wanted to develop a way to ressurent his wife Jordan that had died... "The film is about finding human connection in an increasingly digital world." - Joseph Kosinski

I wish someone had written a normal novel, as opposed to the junior novel. Like how they did for the original Tron. I haven't gotten to read Betrayal yet, though. My book store hasn't gotten it in yet. >:P I'm not happy.
As I say, kid's books they may be, but I'll jump through hoops and grasp at straws for Tron. You?
{A very big thanks to FlynnOne for the pic! And to Wulfeous for sharpening the details!*huggles both*}
{Because people always seem to guess wrong, I'm saying it here: I'm female!!! And my name is Spark!!!}

Kiddie books.
Though, I get the feeling that the junior novelization is leaving some details out. (Other than that missing last chapter, ha ha ha Disney.)

It's not missing! The movie has a cliffhanger!
It has to be missing some things; we saw a bunch of shots of them filming scenes set in the 1980's (the Encom building, people in Tron 1 suits, etc.) that aren't in there. |
