not to be rude, its new to me, but its olds.
The Grid. A digital frontier. I tried to picture clusters of information as they moved through the computer. What did they look like? Ships? Motorcycles? Were the circuits like freeways? I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see. And then, one day. I got in.

the very first song that plays, IMO (no offense to anybody's nostalgia) but I find that one song equeally as awesome if not better than Wendy Carlos' score for the original

It was new to me last night, so it was pretty fresh to most people.
I think it blends a lot of what was great about the original movie's soundtrack whilst investing a surprising amount of emotion; pulsating synth sounds with Hans Zimmer style of sweeping strings. I'm very impressed with it. The Disc can't hit my doormat soon enough.

I have to admit, my like of the score is starting to grow - at first, I didn't care too much for the "Derezzed" track and still don't care much for it, but the pieces at the beginning, middle, and end of that 6 minutes are pretty epic. The ones with the orchestral accompaniment almost have a Wendy Carlos-esque feel, however I still hope that DP will actually use or sample some of the original Tron score.

Aye, I'm liking more of this too - and I didn't know about this preview at all until this post.
I'm still not particularly crazy over DP's synth music (or whatever sub-genre its referred to as). Too repetitive - and it's not that I don't sometimes like looped music - some techno/trance/etc is amazing, if they switch it up frequently enough. A lot of what I've heard from DP though seems very stale.
