We have a new term to go along with Derezzed, Rectify.
What do you think it means for a program to be Rectified? Based on that how does Derezzing fit in?
My Guess:
Rectified : To be recompiled. I would guess a program overtime changes based on its experiences, kind of like how a new Windows machine over times slowes down, had programs loaded, removed, gets viruses, etc etc. You fix the Windows machine by wiping the drive and reinstalling the OS, putting it back to its original condition.
A program that is rectified is recompiled and loses whatever experiences or knowledge it had gained. Its identity is wiped, its code recompiled. I suspect that those who play games continue to do so over and over, until they become so 'damaged' that they have to be 'rectified' and then are returned back to the game.
Derezzed: To be deleted or removed from the system. Possibly to go into a 'Trash' area first.
Thougths?

Well, in electronics to rectify an AC wave is to take the negative part of the wave and either remove it (half rectifier) or to convert it to DC (Full wave rectifier).
I believe that "rectify" in this case is thew way of saying that clu alters the programs in such a way that they do his bidding.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

I think "Rectify" means that programs get "reprogrammed" to become one of Clu's guards (he is building an army after all), and those who get "Games" have to compete and eventually get derezzed, even if they advance far, they will eventually have to face Rinzler. Process of elimination.

I like that concept of rectify. So what do you think would qualify a program for 'Games'?

Programs that are of no use to Clu or programs that cant be rectified (like the damaged program in the comicon footage with the damaged face) The games would be a dumping ground in that manner. |
