Just wanted to say I got back from the USA Science and Engineering Fest held on the national mall in D.C. today. I grabbed my younger brother and trucked from outer Maryland to D.C. early this morn to see the exhibt with a Tron Legacy theme. Now, understand this was a science and engineering festival designed to cull kids and students from all over the area. The focus was really about learning, not necessarily entertainment. That said while the exhibit was sparse and educational Disney did allow us TRON fans a taste of the experience that others got at ComiCon or the Flynn's Arcade events. They had both a life size model of the lightcycle and the "Shiva Laser" from the film. I know, most here have already seen those up close but this was a real treat for those that missed the events out west. Other than that, the experience while educational was mostly about laser scanning and V.R. guided brain surgery. They had engineers from a company called Next Engine that demonstrated their portable laser scanning platform. They also had medical researchers from NRC-CNRC in Canada demonstrating Virtual Reality technology for use in brain surgery. Then off to the side they had another special room for the light painting demo. The actual light painting secton seemed like a poor man's chroma key setup. They had a small booth with a grey drab painted lightcycle "form", and whoever sat on it would be video captured into a still shot of Tron City. From there another participant could draw on the screen with a virtual light wand that spray painted glowing blue dots on the screen. All the while you could view the experience with 3D glasses. After a few seconds the picture would begin spinning and then the whole image would be sucked into a singularity and propelled into the distance of the cyberworld. I guess that was to simulate being sucked into the TRONiverse. Overall, it wasn't a full blown TRON-Experience but it was a nice diversion and a nice slice of Hollywood and Disney come to a place as far removed from those locales. Standing a hairs breadth away from the lightcycle and shiva laser models is enough to make any TRON-Fan happy. I took several minutes of video of which I will put up on Youtube and link back here.

Wow, that's pretty awesome. I would love to have seen it. I wonder if Disney will have anything like this at Epcot. order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

I hope those that saw my video are not too disappointed in my shooting skills. The place was pretty dark, and hot (it was unseasonably warm that day in D.C.) About the time I went into the "Lightpainting" section a worker for Disney came in and literally started ripping some fabric off a air conditioner vent to allow some fresh cool air to pour in. It was kinda crazy. The best part about seeing the props was seeing up close and personal all the fine details that were either captured or sometimes missed in the photos. The shiva laser in particular had so much going on that you really need to see it in person to do it justice. For instance, at the base of the laser are several cannisters that look like they have pistons inside. I managed to get a video of the tops of these cannisters but the markings are not really clear. Well, as best as I can surmise, because of the markings on them, these canisters hold different elements and possibly when the laser is in use it uses these elements to replenish any loss of these vital elements in the target. There was one marked "H2O" so we know that as water, and humans are mostly made of water. There was also one marked "Carbon". So perhaps being digitized into the cyberworld depletes carbon in the target and humans are carbon based lifeforms. These are things I didn't notice while looking at others videos or pictures of the Laser.
