I saw this article today and laughed out loud at the "Master Control Panel" mistake.
http://www.film.com/features/story/pros-cons-of-tron-legacy/40898843?pcode=film&cpath=rss&rsrc=movierss_film
I disagree with a few of the writer's points, mainly in her perception of the target audience of TRON: Legacy, as well as the (GROAN) Matrix comparison. But the facepalm moment was the MCP "typo"...
Call me a fanboy or whatever, but if you're going to write an article about the pros and cons of a film, AT LEAST get the basics right, ya know?

That whole thing made my head hurt and my fists clench.
You can always tell when something is written by someone who has no idea what they're writing about.

That cons section made me rage.
Still waiting for that 3D XBOX game?
Been marketing itself since before it was a film? Not true (and shouldn't matter), considering marketing started last year and the film went into production two years ago..
Reviving old franchises has worked in the recent past.
Revisiting the Matrix? GTFO.

You have to realize that most of these "movie critics" on the web nowdays were probably born a decade or more AFTER TRON was in the theaters. They have no clue as to what the world was like before the internet, xbox 360s, or what LP's and cassette tapes are.
On the other hand if you ask computer industry people what TRON is I would guess 95% of them would know right off the bat. I know that when I when I saw the movie in high school it had a profound effect in the direction in life I took. abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

the person whom wrote this article is as stupid as the sexist broad who wrote that other article in another thread; they're both dumbshits And to top things off this f'n moron had this to say about Olivia wilde: " Oh and Olivia Wilde ... well, I haven't seen anything she's done, but she sure is pretty, isn't she?"
well dumb ass, maybe if you have a chance to see House sometime then you'll recognize her though she's done some other stuff as well.

The "Master Control Panel" bit is from the original (non 20th anniversary edition) DVD cover, so comes straight from Disney.

Wow! Thanks for pointing that out, Lew! I had no idea...
You can just make it out in this image:
Well, I guess the joke is on me...Ol' girl was right! (Well, sort of.)
But as others have pointed out, several of her arguments fall flat, due to her lack of understanding of the social culture at the time TRON came out.
She dismisses both older and younger audiences, as if there is NO target demographic for TRON: Legacy. As Sean Bailey said in an interview I saw once, this movie is coming out at this point in time partly because those 11-12 year old kids who saw it in the theaters originally and loved it, now have 11-12 year old kids of their own that they can take to see the sequel. So both parent and child are excited to see the film. THAT'S your demographic. (Of course, then there are all the other age ranges in between that are excited to see this film too!)
And the whole Matrix comparison is an old, tired, worn-out argument that has been discussed ad nauseam elsewhere. Therefore, I'm not going to discuss it here.
I truly hope the writer sees the new film and is impressed by it. Maybe she'll be so impressed that it will change her mind about some of the statements she put forth in this article and write a new article showing her change of opinion...
I'm not holding my breath.
All I really know is what TRON means to me, and how profoundly it has affected my life. I'm looking forward to the sequel with the excitement of an 11-year old kid whose imagination was set afire by a world he had never seen before...
On December 17th, 2010, I know where I'll be.
