I just had an interesting thought. Do you all suppose that between 1982 and 1989, the Grid in which he was involved in creating was like his own virtual "Farmville"? Would you think of it as his private version of a giant version of a Tamagotchi or Sim City game?

My theory is that he was working on some kind of virtual alternate reality world that people would choose to be digitized into. The idea being that there is this alternate reality for people to hang out in, much like an MMO (in a sense).
