That is amazing! Wonder where those things are gonna be located.
Also, wouldn't it be fun to use one of those to explore the Tron world? |

Vitual Boy had red, flat, simple 2-D pixel based graphics on gray and black 2-D backgrounds.
This sphere scans and maps out your whole body, and reads your own walking and other full body motions as you interact and move the in-game player-character all in real-time in the real time 3-D game world.
It's sort of like a Holodeck but without holograms, and the virtual game world is all in the computer.
What you see with the helmet on is the game world, it's more like are looking at a Call of Duty type 3-D game world, not red sprites and not a flat 2-D grey and black background.
It's not an "upgraded Virtual Boy", that's saying like an Audi sports car is an "upgraded Big Wheel bike."

There still should be an easier way.

Virtusphere seems to be the simplest way.
More complicated and you get the omnidirectional treadmill. George Jetson's ultimate nightmare.

Well, we're still working on digitization directly into the game up at the lab.

Oh! Nice! But it's too far away from me. But thank you for the information! ^^
But if anyone is near that area, they have just got to check it out! Would be great to hear a first person experience review of it. |
