1) Tron Legacy is a sequel, not really a "re imagining"
per se.
It's cyber space world is on a hidden away, isolated computer system where the Programs and their realm have sort of developed and virtually "evolved" for over 20 yrs which in the cyber space realm has been a virtual 1000-2000 "years".


2) I predict Tron Legacy will be as good as the original just it's "vibe" is a little different, slightly darker, leaning more toward the tone of "Blade Runner".

3) Many many fans of Tron have wanted and dreamed of a modern day sequel for these past 28 yrs.

4) Bruce Boxleinter is back as Alan Bradley as well.

5) the orginal Director/Co-Writer of Tron, Steven Lisberger is Producer on Tron Legacy and was closely involved in production and also had a mentor-like role so he's has put alot of his own input into the sequel.

I think the original TRON had it all, good story, good villian, good heroes, a strange different world, and a good ending.

But this will just give fans something more to see. That's all.

I am really stoked that Clu returns as a villian. That is funny.

And that toy disc.... I am definitely picking that up. Admit it, how many here played a frisbee game of TRON deadly discs in some parking lot? I did in the 8th grade.
