Hmm, I guess I may as well re-open the main KA Mod thread.

Regarding testing: this testing run is closed to further volunteers for the moment. We already have a large list of people who wanted to test. But if we need more testers, we'll definitely add you guys to the list.

By the way, we're also releasing a new version of UE2 that will work in widescreen. Plus it will have a couple of other small changes.

But unless you care about widescreen, there's no need to download it again if you already have UE2. There are no other major differences.

Well, the mod is finished and in testing. So I'd say the chances of it coming out after Tron Evolution are pretty close to . . . zero.

There's a 68.71 percent chance that you're right.

We're testing Single Player along with Multiplayer, yep. Don't want to release the mod with any kind of show stopping error. (e.g. The problem in the old version where you could get stuck when trying to crouch under the opening on the third SP level, has been fixed now.)

Of the feedback I've personally gotten so far, it's been uniformly positive. No one has mentioned any problems yet with the mod itself.

So, perhaps we'll be able to release it within two weeks from now. But want to wait for more feedback.

No, I'm glad you reported it. Anything that can prevent the player from finishing the Single Player game, is bad news. There was actually a way the player could get around it, by using a clever trick. But that's beside the point. When you try to fix and add things with a mod, you don't want to introduce your own new bugs if you can help it. (This was the only serious bug, though.)

It wasn't too difficult to fix the crouching problem. That's not the reason why the new version has taken so long. At a conservative estimate, there have been at least 24 major fixes/additions to the retail game since the last version of the mod. And that doesn't include the countless minor ones.

I am super Excited to see the KA Mod finally coming out. I sadly got TRON 2.0 shortly after the KA Mod was taken off, so now I'm very hyped to see it become available to play one last time before TRON Evolution comes out.

Not sure why it'd have to be a final FNF. KA mod might actually renew intrest in Tron 2.0, and we could see Friday Night Fights a lot more often.
