Anyone else going to wake up at at 4:30am Pacific and watch through their telescope the NASA explosion thing on the moon? If it's clear here, I'm gonna try to see it. I guess we're supposed to watch the south pole area of the moon...

I would if they were launching ICBMs to blow up the moon. I wished they would because it's blocking my view of Beta-Aquila. I was going to do it myself a few years ago but this crazy rabbit kept stealing my 'Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator'.
lol... sorry.. I had to throw in a loony toons joke in there...
All hail Marvin the Martian...

We were up the whole day/morning(don't sleep anyways). One of my family members set up his telescope, but he wasn't able to see anything because of our angle to the moon.
I'm cold and calculating. Don't press my buttons.

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

Yawwwwn.... well that as boring!
I woke up and felt it was a waste of time. No visible dust plume that I saw, and so it was just a slow decent into the moon's surface of the trailing spacecraft. You can watch it here...
Click the video titled, "NASA TV Coverage of LCROSS Impact". When I tuned into this at 430am Pacific, that's pretty much all they showed. Highly uneventful.

Unfortunite for me I'm familiar with the Nasa and Jpl websites and such.
I kept saying that it's too far away and small to even see with a (large) ground telescope. Yet, I still stayed up to watch. I'm cold and calculating. Don't press my buttons.

Watched this live at work via the Nasa TV add on to the vista sidebar. Also hooked my pc up to the tv at work 32" widescreen. Wasn't as fantastic as I thought it would be but it was well worth watching during lunch.
