Posts: 215 | Anybody got official rules for Battlestar Pyramid? on Sunday, October, 04, 2009 1:02 AM
I'm planning on battling it out in the card game, pyramid (as seen in battlestar galactica.) I ordered a deck of cards from a seller on ebay.
I am having trouble learning the rules of the game and am wondering if anyone has an official copy of the rules. The instructions I am finding online are generally without pictures.
I downloaded a freeware PC game, but again with very bland and nondescriptive instructions. And it doesn't even tell you what kind of pyramids you built (ie. Player 3 wins with a 2nd second level pyramid.)
To make matters worse, there are at least three different variations on what the cards in the deck look like. The symbols on the cards in the PC game don't look anything like the cards I ordered. And I saw another different looking set of cards in one of the online instructions.
Help!

Well, Here's what I found. I once tried a freeware pc card game thing too, but the layout and quality was confusing.
Not sure if you got the original one or the new one. I don't know the differences between the versions.

I actually found both of these, but they aren't helping
My card deck arrived with instructions, but again no pictures and very confusing. Did your PC game have the original characters appollo, starbuck, boomer, chameleon, and Jolly? If not, then you found a different game than the one I did.on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill onlineabortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion REQUEST STATUS REPORT

Well, that sucks. If I actually had a deck of these cards it would be easier for me to figure out.
I couldn't find much anything else.
Also, that game I tried was part of some program made by various people years ago to play card games online (like Dune, Sailor Moon and stuff that might not be made anymore). You had to download huge libraries of information for the cards, and there wasn't much help in learning how to play. I couldn't figure out what I was doing, so I quit. I also think it was a different one, because it didn't have the pictures you're talking about.

Ah, I see. So it probably wasn't the same game I found, and most likely would be difficult for me to find.
The instructions that came with my cards were very equatable with 5-card draw, which is obviously nothing similar to some of the instructions you will find online and nothing like the game I found.
The cards themselves are quite attractive, with a series of round dots (1pt each) and lines (5 pts each.) [ie. 2 round dots equals a deuce and two lines with 3 dots is a king.] The 4 cards with diamonds only are I guess the equivilant of aces and 4 cylons are like jokers.
Being shaped like hexagons, they are difficult to shuffle. I found a windows font online that you can try out. It can be used to print out your own deck. Note that these don't look like my cards because they don't have the lines or the dots.

The best tutorial I found was here in pdf format.
