When i try to go online i get a message gamespy server not found and can find no games to join how can i play online

Have you tried installing the patch yet? The patch is essential if you want to play online.

Other than that, maybe you have a software firewall blocking the game's attempt to communicate with the internet. You'd need to allow Lithtech.exe full permission to access the internet.
