Force Unleashed

on Wednesday, October, 22, 2008 11:05 PM
Anyone try that new Star Wars Force Unleashed game yet? I rented the Wii version and so far have had great fun with it. Essentially, you use force powers and your lightsaber to beat the level. It's not the most revolutionary game ever as far as gameplay goes, but thanks to the fast paced action and awesome visual and lighting effects, it makes for a pretty good adrenaline rush.

Soooo, anyone else try it yet? If you like Star Wars, then you need to at least give it a rental. order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Most likely it will come out for the PC when the console price falls to less than they could charge you for the PC version, just like Mass Effect. You know that game that Microsoft said would never EVER come out for the PC, and yet as soon as it Dropped to under £30 on the X-box it suddenly appeared on the PC for £35. It simple maths a console game on average costs £10-£20 more than a pc game so they wont give Force Unleashed to pc gamers until the price drops.

I do not and will not believe the pathetic excuse that the average PC is not powerful enough to play it seeing as we have it on the PS2, PSP, DS and the Wii. The average PC is FAR superior to any of these formats, not sure about the Wii but none of the other formats even have dual core as a standard. Its just Lucasarts joining the rest of the gaming community and ripping off us gamers to make more money.

Yeah, you're right laphtiya, PC's are getting left out. PC's today have a potential to be more powerful than any game systems, but in turn games tend to sell less, possibly one of the leading factors to why Crysis wasn't selling well, there's not too many people out there that have massive supercomputers sitting in their living room, and the game is too powerful for any console. I think a lot of developers have moved away from PC for pirating issues, though, and whenever they try to take new measures to prevent it, they are criticized and (in EA's case) receive a lawsuit.

I've heard not-so-good things about this for the PS3. I tried the demo and it was 'just alright', imo. I'm interested in trying the full game, but based on demo shortcomings and the feedback I've heard, I'm no longer eager to.

I'm getting out of here right now, and you guys are invited. -----^

Yeah, definitely give it a rental. I think there may be some huge differences between the Wii and PS3 versions, though, so I don't think my views can really help anyone.

Gonna try the multiplayer here in a few secs. Hang on...

Just tried out multiplayer, real fun. Turns out I'm pretty good at it. What's really cool is you can basically do any move you'd do in regular combat in single player mode in mp mode. Literally tons of different strategies you can do. abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Yeah... Pirating is a damaging issue for PCs... but the main reason why many companies are going console exclusive is because the market sells better in that area. I'm still rather sore that Peter Moore refuses to release Madden 09 for the PC.... but the guy is moronic anyways.

Something will happen though. This isn't the first time computers were given the shaft. Back in the later 16-bit computer days, consoles like Nintendo and Genesis were dominate and computers were over looked... but when innovation struck with FPS like DOOM and the OS Win95 was released, PCs were on top and selling well (and in some cases better) along side the first Playstation and PC games were everywhere.

Power shifts back and forth from time to time between consoles and computers and it's the general public that decides that without realizing it...

Thought I'd point out that I know many friends with pirated Xbox 360, Wii and PS3 games so thats not really an excuse that they can use anymore

Crysis was over the top I have to admit, even though my computer is twice the spec of the PS3 system it still had some trouble. But this was down to that crysis was poorly written perfoming at half the speed in 64bit mode over 32bit and slowdown in DX10 over DX9 (even though you can have DX10 graphics in DX9 so it isn't a detail issue). I still believe it is simply down to money, games are cheaper on the PC than the console. For example, It costs £49.99 for a new PS3 game but it only costs £34.99 for a new PC game. Research has shown that the average console gamer also owns a gaming PC. So when games such as Fallout 3 comes out for all formats, what will the gamer buy it on? Answer is easy, what ever he/she can get it cheaper for.

It has nothing to do with performance, cost of development or anything else. Unfortunetly for us PC gamers we will be ignored and left behind untill it becomes profitable to release the game on the PC.

Anyway onto the game, I've played the demo and I think its really good. HOWEVER from a story point of view, if this is ment to be canon because Lucas okayed it, then were sadly looking at another hack of the Star Wars series. This guy can pull down Star destroyers with the force yet Luke who was supposed to be some sort of Force specticle can barely move his lightsaber in Empire strikes back.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Console games are getting pirated almost as much as PC games now. So that excuse doesn't wash any more.

Second Take: Console Piracy On The Rise?Xbox 360 Piracy Continues with Fable 2, Gears 2
Also, Randy Stude from the PC Gaming alliance blasted LucasArts for not releasing a PC version of Force Unleashed.

They were perfectly willing to "sacrifice the experience" for the Wii, PS2, PSP, DS, N-Gage, and iPhone. When they release the game for every friggin' platform in existence except the PC, what does that tell you? LucasArts was lying about why they didn't do a PC version. He (Stude) knows it, I know it, everyone knows it. I agree with his assessment 100 percent.
