Impressive list of classic games!
Is this the package that allows you to play the games in a simulated arcade machine on the screen? I think I remember you talking about this before. Sounded pretty cool.
I just read some reviews on it. One person said it came bundled with some spyware - something called the power reg scheduler and some kind of browser search engine. What was your experience? Did your security software catch anything during install or have you noticed any trace of these after installation? Maybe this guy just ended up with the spyware around the same time and thought it came from the game.

Yes, you can play the arcade games with a surround that looks exactly like the original cabinet. It is pretty cool.

Spyware? Not to my knowledge. My security software - Windows Live OneCare - didn't detect anything wrong with the install, nor has it detected anything since. I suspect the person who complained of spyware and a browser probably downloaded the cracked version; in which case they got what they deserved.
Heck, the game is available from Steam for $20. I don't think Valve is going to let anyone sell anything bundled with spyware on Steam, that's for sure.

I got The 80 Classic Games from my library once. None of the 2600 games worked, only the arcade games.
BUT! It did come with two of teh coolest fonts evar: Atari Raster and Atari Vector, which I unfortunately forgot to back up from my old PC.

I'll play any mode, but I'm best at LC.

I kind of figured this guy might have gotten his spyware from another source. Thanks for the input. His spyware story held some merit because I know some lagit software packages do install hidden items without divulging, or at least used to. I'm hoping there are laws against that kind of thing now.
For $10, I might have to get this. I mean, mobile phone games cost about that much and they're only a single game, right? Can't go wrong with the Atari classics.
