I don't have to work for a few days so I'm drinking some sort of high gravity beer. It tastes a little too thick so I'm adding ice. The alc. content is about 11.4%.

I found som Austrian beer once with 14% alc.
I tasted something like thick caramell. with burned tires.
Icecubes in beer? I should probably shoot you for that.
But there might be moments when its not to stupid an idea.
That made me thirsty. Ill fill my frosted seidel and sitt on my balcony

When a beer tastes too thick to me, I'll put ice in it for two reasons, it keeps it cold and the water thins out the taste. If it is a high gravity beer then it dampens it only by 10% depending on how quickly you drink it.
Ice cubes in beer isn't really that odd. A famous drink in my area is called a 'Summer Kiss'. It's a lite beer like Budwiser (not lite as in Bud lite, that's a different type of lite), with a shot of vodka, lemon juice mixed in with some ice. I've gotten very drunk off of those.
But when it comes to scotch or brandy, I can not drink either without ice.
