Hey there,
I've been working on a bit of a project to simulate Dillinger's desk, and thought I would post a rendering of the top surface I made. Ultimately, I may try to project these images on a multi-touch surface and make them interactive...
Here's the image:
Of course, they are supposed to be spread out a bit more with what looks like a calculator in between, but you get the point.

That's nice! If you look closely at Daft Punk's sequencer, that would be awesome to see in Tron consoles. |

That's very cool looking! It looks like something that Encom might have actually put out, if you ask me. Hey - maybe they did sequencers and digital mixing tools too. Who knows.

It would be interesting to have a desk like that for a computer at least have the keyboard, monitor and a third panel integrated to do something else or at least be a art of some other function. I do remember something similar on a desk. Not exactly the same thing where it had the keyboard integrated into the tabletop itself. But at least below the screen aread. And enough space under the table to angle the crt tube underneath the clear table itself. But it would look cool to have something like that around.

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

You'd get a heck of a kink in your neck with the monitor below the tabletop!

Maybe angled just right on the desk itself. Or come to think of it. If your computer is under the desk of it is a tower or a desktop to a small form factor depending which way you go. With those flat panels these days makes a nice wall mounted unit for your computer display on the wall to view at. With your favourite OS and progams on the computer. 2 Legit 2 quit

You are right, both Microsoft and Apple have products similiar to this. Apple has multi-touch don't know how to embed so look at this old video
and Microsoft has their ridiculously expensive and inefficient
SurfaceIt uses cameras to see what you are doing, and costs $4,000 to $10,000.
Ha news story says "Microsoft hopes to have in stores by the end of the year"...guess not.
When I first saw that I instantly envisioned Dillinger.
