You've likely heard of the US193 Spy Satellite that NASA lost control of a few days ago. They successfully shot it down with a ballistic missile. Yays!

Kinda ironic, how the taxpayers have to pay to blow something up that they paid for that they themselves arn't even allowed to know about (being a spy satellite and all).
