Playstation 3 is an option, too. If you have an HDTV, it has a Blu-Ray DVD player built-in. And online access is free (no yearly membership). Of course, cam_the_man, you mention a few games that are Xbox360 exclusives, so PS3 is maybe not an option. I just know the X360 runs louder and doesn't seem to be as good of quality construction as the PS3 (the X360 disc tray seems kind've chincy.) I like the wireless network connectivity of the PS3, too, for if you have a wireless router. I'm not sure if the X360 has that capability?where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

Hm, some good arguments, mostly leaning towards PC. To straighten things out:
Which is worse: Constantly up dating computer and dealing with stuf that is WAAAAAY over your head, or dealing with the bugs and glitches I hear so much about with 360?
Is Silver Membership free?
This is a really big decision for me.
Seeing as I rarely have much extra money, would it be expensive to update my computer constantly?

You could always get a Wii....
Seriously though, you can fix that PC problem there by learning about the stuff you don't know about (yeah, right). 360 melts (lol, you know, the sandwich and the 360, and.. okay then) can't be fixed by some painstakingly boring and uneventful learning. Oh well, they're both the little demonic offspring of Bill Gates, so yeah.
Or you could get a Wii!
Don't those italics just make you want to buy one?

If you consider upgrading or troubleshooting your PC to be over your head, I really do recommend an XBox. Silver membership is free, but you cannot play online without a paid Gold membership. As for updating your PC, one nice benefit of a good machine is that it will play years worth of older games easily. However, the 360 offers some comparable functionality with it's ability to play many of the original XBox titles.

Plus, if you go with the X360, you get access to the arcade version of Tron that was released on XBox Live. Hope they release it for the PS3 some day.

I really don't understand the reluctance of people these days, who don't want to learn about how their computer works. It's really not that hard. The reward of learning how it all works is very beneficial when it comes to job skills in the future, too.
Compared to how it used to be even 10 years ago, today's generation has it much easier. You install Windows, some drivers, your games, and go. Maybe sometimes things don't work properly as they should, but that's usually because people buy the cheapest computer they can get from companies like eMachines: who use the cheapest, crappiest components they can find, with poorly written drivers that crash the system. A few minimal upgrades later, and you're good to go.
Anyway . . .

Yes, it's free. You just can't play against anyone online, and sometimes Microsoft withholds stuff for a while, keeping it for Gold members only.

Not really excessive if you only plan on updating your computer at least every two-three years.
My computer hasn't been updated in a while. I think the last thing I got was a new video card because the previous one went bad. (Electrical damage, whee.)
I can still play games like Orange Box because my stuff is pretty much current despite being maybe two years old.
You won't have any trouble maintaining a PC that way.
IMO, 360 isn't quite cost-effective to me with the red ring. If you really want a 360, make sure you get a extended warranty through the store you purchase it from. As far as I know, without being able to exchange the console for a new one at the store that you purchased it from, you risk returning it to Microsoft where they give you a refurbished console with someone else's account information still on it. =/ (Which does not seem very smart to me!)
I still recommend the idea of getting a replacement plan/warranty if you're picking up a PS3, Wii (if you can find one), or 360. Even though I haven't had any problems with my PS3 and Wii yet... x_X Silver wasn't so lucky with his 360 not dying on him (He did get the plan, phew.) The first one died so he took it back in and was able to replace it with a new one and that one is still working. (Who knows for how long?)

Speaking for myself, I understand computers. I can take one apart and rebuild it at need. But when I buy a game, I'd really rather just play the game. Yeah, sometimes all you need to do is a driver update. Sometimes the driver update causes weird incompatibility issues. Sometimes you drop a new video card in and it works great. other times, you have to micro manage the settings until maybe you get what you want, if you ever do.
As for suggestions by many that the Red Ring of Death is a big issue... I've had three (top of the line) hard drives burn out on me. I've had video card failure twice and power supply failure once. And of course, a multitude of mystery issues where even a fresh Windows install doesn't do the trick. Yeah, the XBox crashes. Sometimes it dies. But it does come with a three year warranty for that particular defect. At worst, I see this as putting the two platforms on equal footing.

For me its just trying to get it on some different platforms besides windows xp or on vista. I look at it this way. The computer is basically a tool for everyone does not matter under which operating system. Since there are literally hundreds of different operating systems to choose from under the linux and unix variants. last checked there was something like 350+ linux and unix variants combined together. The two most for the typical end user is windows and Mac OSX. And even then most typical with the exception of the few who are willing to learn the linux variant. Don't want to learn and expect it to work without knowing the the back part of any OS.
