Let me clear up one thing: this is not a rip-off of "Jody's video reviews". These are just regular reviews.
When I write a review for a game, TRON related or not (hence the reason it's in other sectors), I will copy and paste it here. So, without further delay, here is my first review for...........
ROCK BAND (Playstation 2 version)
The Playstation 2 version of Rock Band isn't exactly the same as the PS3 and 360 versions. It doesn't feature online multiplayer, DLC, or the character creator. Now, don't get me wrong, it's still the same awesome multiplayer experience as on the other consoles, just slightly different.
Graphics: PS2 Rock Band's background video system differs from the other versions. The background videos on 360 and PS3 use actual polygon characters that you make. PS2's background videos, however, are predetermined CD video clips; a technique that dates back to 1994's Sega CD. Everything looks exactly like the 360 and PS3 versions, at the expense of venue selection and character customization.
Song selection: Again, same songs originally included with the 360 and PS3 versions. DLC was excluded from this.
Gameplay: Despite the limitations, PS2 Rock Band in 4 player mode can be quite the experience. Voice recognition for singing is very well done, and the rectangle notes arn't as hard to hit as some people say. The new drums gameplay is VERY entertaining when you get the hang of it.
Peripherals: The guitar controller that comes with Rock Band is very nice. It's wireless and the strum bar makes no sound! Any guitar hero controller will work, as well as any USB mic (excludes headsets).
Overall, Rock Band for PS2 may not be as complete as the other versions, but it really shines at multiplayer.
If you have at least one guitar hero controller and a USB mic (i.e. the Singstar Kareoke mic), rent Rock Band first to see how you like the interface and song list. If you like it, and you don't mind the limitations, then go ahead and buy the full set!
Breakdown:
- Excelent gameplay, awesome multiplayer.
- Nice trivial loading screens
- No online Multiplayer/DLC or customization.

Here's my second review, this time for an older game: Ground Zero Texas for Sega CD.
Ground Zero Texas (PS2)
Okay. Let's get one thing outta the way: ANYTHING by Digital Pictures and/or Tom Zito will have laughably horrible acting. So, onto the review:
Starring STEVE EASTIN (who's that?!?) and directed by DWIGHT H. LITTLE (never heard of him..), Ground Zero Texas was advertised as a "rip-snortin' western alien action shooter".
Here's the storyline:
Aliens (who are kind enough to lower production cost by disguising themselves as humans) have invaded a small Texas town and are killing everyone. "Scares the crap outta me" says one of your teammates. Fortunately for you, though, the army/military/whatever you are has set up four strategically placed "BattleCams" throughout town, which are armed with a particle disruptor beam that can only stun these "creeps" (yes, someone actually calls them creeps ).
Now, the gameplay in GZT is actually quite exciting at times. You move your target around the screen and shoot aliens on backdrops like:
The "Hot Tacos!" sign
The "Sale Whole!" sign
A bunch of haybales
On your Genesis controller, you use the + control pad to move your target (hold the A button to change cameras), the B button activates your shield, and C shoots. Most of the time, it's just "shoot all of the people with guns". You'll have to switch cameras a lot, which can get annoying at times. Once you start to get real far though, you kinda get into the action, and yet, you're still able to laugh at the horrible acting.
Overall, if you see this game for Sega CD (which you can find easily if you look at the right places), and your Sega CD is in working order, get this game! (It's usually pretty cheap too...) It definitely has some of the best video quality of most Sega CD games, despite the Sega CD's poor video quality.
Breakdown:
- Very fun and addictive gameplay
- Acting so bad, it's funny
- Has Tom Zito's name on it; "Robot Stormtroopers"? Real original.
