When I was a kid I only played the full upright TRON arcade game. I swear I could make a diagonal move(in the spider level for example). Now with my new cocktail a diagonal move makes theplayer stand still. Has anyone out there tried putting an 8 way joystick in their game, and does it work nicely?abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

Yeah, diagonal movement was possible on the old upright -- like in the spider (MCP cone) level. Obviously, diagonal isn't possible on the light cycle level... but yeah, spiders? For sure. And also the menu screen, where you have to pick which level you want to play; I remember the little cursor moving diagonally in there.
I've never played the cocktail version, but surely it was originally built to let you move diagonally?? That'd be weird to not be able to. Maybe the contacts need to be fixed?
I don't own any Tron arcade game, upright or cocktail, -- yet -- to offer any other info. There are some here who will likely be able to answer, though.abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

Ok, just for others information. I think I've solved the mystery of why the cocktail tron CANNOT move diagonally. On the stand up tron the joystick is controlling metal leafs that contact another piece of metal for it's reading. The cocktail tron doesn't use the same joystick sensor. It's more of a button that get's pushed and 2 buttons cannot be pushed at the same time. Thus no diagonal in the cocktail

your describing the cocktail as having a 4 way joystick. You should be able to use a 8 way in there...the PCB is the same I believe between the 2 models. Uses a slightly different vid setup for screen flipping but that should be the only difference. Get a 8way from Happ control and you should be set
