What bothers me is that I've always thought of TRON characters as really cool - from the concept to the costumes, etc. TRON comedy and humor is something I can dig. The whole dance routine is beyond cartoony - it's absurdly silly. As a comedy - it would work, but it's not intended as such and therefore...

I think that this clip just shows how Disney had no clue whatsoever how to market the movie. They figured probably that because some parts of it were animated or whatever (and thus a kiddie movie) they could just go ahead and use the characters from the film like they use the characters from every other animated film they ever made, all sing-y and dancey for the kiddies.

What's funny is I remember seeing this when it premiered on TV and even at the age of like 10 I was incredibly embarassed for all involved!

But, hey at least they have an electric version of Elliott from "Pete's Dragon" at the end to make all the pain go away!
