Anyway, I never had the C64 version, though I have played it on an emulator (just last night, in fact). It plays great on the C64 of course (games generally did), but some of the sounds that were on the Apple version are missing. What's that all about? C64 has that beautiful SID chip and they left out the sound of the bad guys falling in the holes and spawning? Shame on whoever ported this game! Ok, the beating a level music was cooler on the C64 than the Apple sound, but otherwise they missed some stuff. I hate when they do that. |
Didn't play the Apple version here; just the C64 one. I wonder what the sounds of the missing sounds sounded like? Hmm. Well, all this talk of Lode Runner made me think you should make a QuickVid, TheReelTodd, that has a couple Lode Runner dudes chasing you, but then you dig a couple Lode Runner holes that they fall in which allow you to escape!
With your QuickVids, you're really typecasting yourself as someone who gets sucked into computer games; so this idea came pretty naturally
All this experience as a 'program', may make you a good candidate for any Tron remake or sequel that gets made
I hope I get to be in the next real Tron movie, too.
