 subroutine upgrade?

subroutine upgrade?

I've tried but it seems I can't actually upgrade the prankster bit to gold in the sp game...is this true? If you can get it to gold, how do i do that? I tried searching but i guess i missed it. Thanks.

You're correct, by the time you get the Prankster Bit there are no more COWs you can use to upgrade the subroutine. And there are no opportunities to download anything other than an Alpha version.

The only way is to cheat, by editing your saved game.

Another possibility is using a cheat code earlier in the game to give yourself the prankster bit, and upgrade it as normal....


this said, since the prankster bit is fcon-specific, I guess it makes sense that they never had time to get a beta or gold version out.
