Wow - can't believe I've never seen this film!
Just watched about 2/3 of the video - didn't want to see the whole thing because of spoilers.
Old-school looking machinery. Stop motion animation. Strange imagery. This thing looks GREAT!
** takes a trip to IMDB **
Ahh - that's why it looks so cool - it was made in 1985, before all visual effects were computer generated and lost their soul.
Funny - the computer animation in TRON still amazes me to this day - it was in many respects, perfect to me. And today's use of computer animation just seems void of any realism or soul. It is seamless, but always stands out as CGI and not real. Stop motion looks like stop motion, BUT it also looks real because it is. Models look real because they are also. CGI can look real when done right, but more often than not, it does not look real - it looks like an effect made on a computer.
What am I rambling on about?
Well, I'll have to check out this film. It's got some really cool looking and strange visuals and great looking style. It was poorly received at the box office (according to Wikipedia) and I have only vague memories of ever hearing about it, so I'm guessing it was never really advertised well to begin with (kind of like TRON). All of this means I'll probably really enjoy it!

Back when I was collecting movie soundtrack CD's, Return To Oz was one of the "holy grails" of soundtrack collecting. I actually managed to find one locally, and sold it on eBay for $109.00. I had the losers of the action e-mailing me offering more if I would screw the winner over. It was crazy.
Of course, all those rare CD's are now easily available on the net and no one pays those kinds of prices anymore.
EDT: I just checked eBay and one sold recently for $157.00 I guess there still is a market for rare CD's :P
(My record was a CD of the score to Who Framed Roger Rabbit, which I sold for $225.00 . They re-issued the score about two years later.)
Around that time Tron was only available on vinyl and a good quality LP could fetch between $25 and $50 on eBay.

Whoa, I had no idea there were some CDs that sold for that. I just assumed all old CDs were worth like $2-$10. Interesting.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

Yup. You'd be amazed. You can search eBay sold listings by price (or at least you used to be able to)... so do that, and just make a list of what sold high. Then scour your local used CD stores to see if anything pops up.
I had luck finding rare music scores, because those were usually the ones that would slip through the initial screen for rare material (by the store itself).
I have long since wiped out any stock of rare stuff in my town, but I'm sure this stuff is still out there.
I think a CD of the Muppet Movie score still goes for a few bucks on eBay.abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

You feel the same way I do, and I'm sure most of the members on Tron-Sector feel the same as well.
What made TRON (and TRON 2.0) interesting to me, was the striking visuals of the CGI. That they were so vibrant and "perfect", that they were unlike anything we'd ever seen before.
Now, as CGI continues to strive to be more and more realistic, it becomes a commodity of sorts. It's just there all the time now, blending in almost seamlessly so sometimes we don't even notice it any more. It's become . . . bland.
As for the movie, I vaguely remember seeing ads for it. But now that I've actually seen a clip, it looks pretty cool. Need to check it out.
