I just kind of stumbled on this website, but it's hilarious. Check out the Institute of Official Cheer, and the postcard gallery.

As a graphic design major, sites like this are great inspiration. Pluse I just love looking at retro culture like this.
Wow, the old Monteagle Motel is the first image in the Tenneessee postcard gallery! It's near home. Always loved that arch. That old sucker is still in operation today.
Over the summer I got a whole stack of 40s-60s manuals and print materials while helping Dad filter stuff out of my gradmothers house. Favorite items I got was a 1961 Fallout Protection booklet, a GE television manual with mail in customer information sheet that's a computer punchcard, and a simple folded one-sheet "You and your Television Set" guide to owning and operating a basic television set. Great stuff.

I figured you'd like it Sketch. I particularly like the "Valley Ho" motel in Arizona.
The Gobbler motel was also quite a trip. Check out the computer section too. Very funny.
You should scan and send that guy a copy of the Fallout manual. I bet he'd put it on the site.

I see there is a video about his favorite retro building being a Imperial 400 Inn, which he shows has since been destoyed. There is one still here in town where I'm going to college. I'm tempted to get a snapshot of it and sent it to him, cause it's the same exact building as shown in the video he posted.
Love the computer section. Those old number-crunchers always looked slick to me, like something out of a Bond flick. where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online https://www.flickr.com/photos/blue_bezel/ |

Well, I don't know why I thought the Monteagle Motel was still going. After eating Thankgiving with family I stopped by the old Motel to take a few pics. It's now a parking spot for police to sit, cause of the awning. The building is for sale. I'm appauled at the shape it's in. To restore the building to it's original form would take a freakin' fortune. It has been let go for far too long. I'm afraid if any one did eventually buy it, they would just tear it down. It's a shame, cause even in it's degraded state, you can see how greatly designed the building was. The design of the layout is very modern and upscale for a little motel. Next time I'm around the Motel, I'm photographic the hell out of thge structure. This building needs to be restored. It's a one-of-a-kind piece of architeture that is slowly fading away from history. I chatted with a cop who was parked under the awning, who also wishes the building would be restored. It just urks me, cause this building could really shine today. abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion https://www.flickr.com/photos/blue_bezel/ |
