Then dig this: Console Classix

Well, Nintendo thinks they're pirating games, but doesn't seem to be pushing the matter. Also this stood out to me:

" Our clients log into our service, they then can browse a list of available games. Once a user has selected a game our server locks that image so that no one else can use it. "

You're kidding. So if someone is playing a game, I have to wait for them to be finished with it before I can? And for $5 a month? Pfft.

..., simply Signup for a FREE account in order to gain unlmited access to our Nintendo and Atari 2600 games. For just $5 a month (or $50 a year) you can also Upgrade your account and add unlimited access to our entire collection of Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and Gameboy/Gameboy Color games.

You can play Atari 2600 and Nintendo games for free. A friend of mine showed me and games worked perfectly.

If you want to play the other systems's games, you have to pay.

To the point of not being able to access a game if someone else is playing it, it's just like a video rental store. If all copies of a video are out, you have to wait to rent it. I don't know if they only have one copy of each game to rent out, but I would imagine that they have more than one of many games.

It's really not a bad deal, $5 per month or $50 per year; but I was posting about Console Classix for their free and easy access to Atarti 2600 and NES games, not to get people to cough up cash.

Yes, it is quite cool. I wasn't bagging on it, but like the video store, I can see myself getting frustrated if the game I wanted to play is "out".

It's a great idea.
