Ahhh, Twin Galaxies, full of freaks. Like the guy, yesterday, that beat pokemon red in 3 hours. Or that guy that got 896 points on breakout (THATS A LOT). Many records broken and yet, so many games without records. If you find an iteresting thing on there (http://www.twingalaxies.com/) post here!

I think my brother is in the top ten for "Robotron". When my brother holds the Super Arcade Super Show here in Marion, a guy from Twin Galaxies meets us there to view the pinball tournaments. Pretty cool.

Now that is truly something to be proud of. Robotron has always been one of my top three favorites. It's not an easy game by any means, but the two stick controls really pull you in quite a bit more than the normal stick/button setup of the early 80's. Although I could break a 100,000 on it, the vintage game skill measuring stick, I don't remember ever crossing the quarter million mark. My dad loved the game too and I can remember watching him play for quite some time on a quarter while I played the Mrs. Pac machine next to it. Man I loved those trips to the convenient stores.

I just beat Ghosts and Goblins. IMO it's the hardest game ever to be released. I noticed I was just 100,000 points under the top scorer. Man, I coulda been on there! Well, maybe next time.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Ahhh... The good old days.
In the golden age of Arcades, my brother and I use to ride our bikes around town visiting all the arcades, convenient stores, Stan's Vaccum (he also had a card shop and seven pinball machines), and just about any place of business that had an arcade game.
One of my personal fav. from back then was:
Moon Patrol
Gyruss
Galaga
Star Castle
Donkey Kong
Pac-Man
Rally X
Crossbow
Dragon's Lair
Tron
And my all time fav. even to this day... Satan's Hollow
I reall miss those days. It was a time of Saturday morning cartoons and Hubabuba Bubble Gum... and Van Halen...
When the arcades was revived back in the early 90's... My personal fav. was...
Alt Beast
Golden Axe
Shinobi
Street Fighter II
Crime Fighters
Ghost and Gobblins (I know, it was a pre-90's game but I still love it)
Wow... I know I'm leaving out a bunch... I just can't think today....
I miss those days though... *tears* |

Sadly enough, I missed out on Discs Of Tron till emulation was possible. I have always lived in a small town... miss out on a bunch.... but I love that game....
Here is something of interest...
A guy in our local area (back in 1989) converted his Commodore 64 into a arcade machine... He only had "Master Of The Lamps" working and it was free to play. If I only had a photo of it.... kind of neat...

Since we're naming favorite vintage games, something I could talk about daily, here's my list:
Favorite 80's arcade games:
Mrs. Pac
I can play for about an hour on a quarter and have probably logged more time in front of it than any other game. Ironically I stink at plain old Pacman.
Burgertime
Robotron
Tron
Galaga
1942
Favorite post '85 game has to be SmashTV. "Big Money, Big Prizes, I love it!" I'm sure at least one other member on these boards is a fan of this game .
I've also sank my far share of quarters into Street Fighter II and Tekken machines. Other than those two properties, I haven't really dropped that many quarters into many of the newer titles.

"I'll buy that for a dollar!"... lol
I really enjoyed playing that game. The arcade at the mall still has it (I think). Williams also put out "Total Carange"... but I liked Smash TV better.
I haven't played any new arcade games other than the "King Of Fighters" within that last five years.

Yeah... I always loved your icon. He was the coolest boss in Smash TV....
Another personal fav. of mine is... Pengo.
Pengo was a classic game with the "popcorn" song and you get to push around blocks of ice to kill little baddies. I use to play it all the time at one of our pizza resturants.
I so miss that game...
but play it all the time in MAME..
Didn't mean to ryme
but if not it would have been a shame...
