and why the hell doesn't anyone play on X-Box Live? stupid lack of sales. stupid timeing (it came out only a few days before Halo 2). stupid lack of advertising.

you have a point, the XBL community isn't very good. Halo 2 comes out, no matter how bad the online play is (the matchmaking system blows, and the community is even worse), the world stops for it. sad, really.

also, it doesn't suck on the XBox, it may be glitchy and have some framerate problems, but it's still pretty good and would be better if people would play it.

I just got into a Tron "kick" last week or so. Thus, after doing a little research online & here at the Sector, I learned about the 2.0 game being available for X-Box as "Killer App". [I don't own an X-Box but my friend does. Knew he'd be willing to let me play the game at his place.]
I was looking for it at Toys 'R' Us (even though I thought I only wanted to rent it at a Blockbuster or something) just to see if they still even had the game for sale. I lucked out. On the shelf, it said, "Original Price 49.99, Clearance Price 4.99". I had to take the game to the guy at the counter to make sure I wasn't seeing things. A, what 90% discount? Cool. So, instead of renting the game, I bought it.

My friend played the game (I was too tired the other night when we finally bothered to load it into the X-Box) so I opted to just watch.

I must admit, the game seems really cool. I wonder how different it is from the PC version. Anyway, I like the basic premise (as I see so far).

[not really SPOILERS]: The fact that Jet is Alan "Two" (or Alan, Jr.) and that Alan "One" (or Senior) is back. The digitizing ray is back (naturally?). My friend didn't get very far into the game so I don't know much of the story yet. I just know that Alan, Sr. was "kidnapped" (or mysteriously disappeared) and Jet seems to be looking for his Dad.

Anyone out there have [NON-SPOILER] advice for people just starting out in this game? I've heard of Thorne & Mercury but I'm wondering what else is out there waiting for me in this game.

I've been able to bypass the playing online thing. I went to single player & in the game system only. [Didn't want to make my friend pay or go through the trouble of setting all that up and paying it myself. I just wanted to play the game.]

Last night, I got to try it out myself. Got only as far as [SPOILER!?] the first light bridge that had the fallen pillar on it. Yeah, I've only just started on this game so it's VERY much early on in the game. I'm getting into it, though. Enjoying it. It does remind me of the original movie & that makes me happy.

Will keep posting as I progress through the game.
