Nah.

And it's too late for Superman, because it's a sequel. (Yay!)

He he he.

Cute.

Re-reading through some of the posts about Superman, I'm getting the clear impression that this film is more sequel than remake. I'm a little more curious now. Doubt I'll hit the theater though. I almost never hit the theatre these days. You never know when the theatre might hit back! Ba-da... BUM!

...

Sorry, couldn't resist.

When I first heard of the film and saw the early trailer for it, it really looked like a remake. But a sequel... well, it will be interesting to see how they implement it. I mean, it's been an entire generation since the original cast film (so to say). Anyway, sequels are far more interesting that remakes in my book. Unless they're remaking something that was never made all that well to begin with and they're remaking it better. Ok, I'm sure I'm confusing a few of you out there with that statement - "What? But I thought Todd hated ALL remakes..." Go figure.

HAH!!! We got him over to the dark side!

I am going to the theatre this weekend to see it. I'll do a full review as soon as possible.

Out of curiosity, what would you guys consider a movie like "The Island"? I watched it last night without knowing ahead of time that it's pretty much a rip-off. Admittedly I really liked the move, gotta love Ewan Mcgregor, but wondered how many people out there actually realized that it 'borrowed' most of the plot from Logan's Run. Any thoughts?

It looked pretty crappy to begin with. I didn't even waste my time. Besides, we have Bryan Singer's remake of Logan's Run to look forward to after Superman!

Actually it wasn't that bad. Admittedly though had the male lead been someone else I probably wouldn't have thought much of it.

Someone's remaking Logan's Run? Now surely we can all agree that's a crime .
