Motorola 8125

on Friday, May, 26, 2006 10:09 PM
I am viewing and posting from my nifty new Motorola 8125 mobile phone. This is pretty damn cool. Very easy to use and the site works pretty good.

I love new toys!

VROOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

CAn you carry it in your pocket and control your world with it? If not, I will stick with my new toy. Have fun though!

I already have a cell phone that does a nice job for what I need to do with. Prefer something that I can do some heavy compiling with. SGI will do a job for what I need to do even under linux and a good animation program in a sparc/Risc processor.

As the saying goes Dave To each their own right. You like new widgets like that. Mesa Likesa moresa heftsa procesa powersa..

** looks up Motorola 8125 **

Wow!

That's one slick gadget you got!

I'd LOVE to be able to surf TRON-Sector from anywhere, anytime - AND post and interact!

I bet you can play some slick games on that thing too, huh?

Can it play internet media files like flash animations, popular video formats, and similar files? Are these devices finally capable of providing as much interactivity as a PC (within reason for a hald-held device)? I didn't read the whole write-up about it. Just enough to start drooling.

Todd,

This is the closest thing to a true convergence type device I have seen yet. It's great. I am having a ball with it. I haven't tried all of the things you listed, but it does do games, I am fairly certain it can do Flash too. MY Siemens SX66 is good, but lacks a few things. Plus, I get a camera with this one that does good 1.1 MPx shots.

I have to say I am quite happy.

Nik,

That is one of the better phones out there right now! Good call!

The one that I am using over here is a Audiovoc 8615 over here. It does what I need to do over here.

Holy smokes, that's not a phone . . . that's a computer!

It looks like it even has a keyboard that slides out. Nice. That should make posting on Tron-Sector a snap.

Motorola has definitely been putting out some good phones lately.
