Boingo, just so you'll know the games being developed by Square on the 360 aren't just Final Fantasy. They have two in development that have nothing to do with that series.
Personally, I haven't liked a Final Fantasy game since it left the Super Nintendo...but that's just me!
The Wii is going to be a tough sell for fanboys. How many teen-20 something guys will want to walk in and say "I want a Wii"?
My guess? Not many!abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

Of course, if they tried selling this to French Canadians with the same pronounciation involved, it translates to the word "Yes" in French. So it would be The Nintendo Yes. Okay.... am I the only one who finds it kinda humerous in French?

The Square Games are going to be online based. I don't particuarly like online games (except for City of Heroes/Villains) so I don't need a Final Fantasy Online game, and even if it IS interesting I have my PC. The XBox 360 Games will most likely be games like "Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles" which was something I wasn't interested in anyway, so I am not going to buy a 360 just to play FFXII and XIII on the 360... I have a PS3 for that.
Sorry off topic, but in reality, Square is home with Sony.
Ya so to stay on topic... um... Wii >_> :Porder abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Wii.
Looks like this one spent waaaay too much time in comitee. Either that or they were smoking some good stuff in the boardroom. When I first heard if it, I though it was a late April fool's day joke, but lo and behold, Wii. The really sad part is that a whole bunch of people got paid actual currency to come up with that.order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

It's a wierd name, yes, but somehow, I like it better than the Revolution. Maybe it's just me.
It's also incredibly clever... I mean, who ISN'T talking about the Wii now? It's like word of mouth to the extreme.

Yeah, the wrong kind of extreme that they were looking for.
From what I've seen, most people can't stand the name and there's select few who won't mind the name.
However, that is not an indicator of them wanting to buy the console whether it has a cool name or an entirely idiotic name... but still, I say this has to be a very poor move on their part.

Ok, it's been a few days.
The name has had time to "sink in" as they put it.
Um... it's still dumb.
Nope, don't like it at all.
I enjoy things that are weird or odd.
But "Wii" is just more silly and kiddie sounding to me.
Forget the wee-wee jokes - it just sounds silly.
I actually like the name Revolution. I thought that was going to be the next name of it - I didn't know that was just the code name, like "Dolphin" was for Game Cube.
BTW - When "Game Cube" was announced, I didn't care for that name either. It didn't sound kiddie like, but it didn't have a good ring to it or sound cool to me. I ended up getting used to it, but it never had a cool ring to it in my book.
I don't think people will call the Wii the "Wii". They'll probably just call it "Nintendo".
If people call it "Wii" when shopping, I can foresee some misunderstanding in the form of "Who's on First"
Customer: Hi, do you have Wii in stock?
Sales Clerk: Do I have who in stock?
Customer: I want a Wii. Do you have it in stock?
Sales Clerk: Yeah - I have to wee myself, but in the meantime, what is it you're looking for?
Customer: No, I don't have to wee, I want a Wii.
Sales Clerk: Ok, now you're just sounding sick.
Customer: Sick? Why? Everyone I know wants a Wii. I want to be the first Wii owner on my block. All my friends will envy my Wii...
Ok, I could go on, but I'll stop it there.

Okay, I know that Nintendo likes to do things a little differently, but a name that you have to explain how to pronounce? And sounds just like a common slang for urinate? They must be insane.

What sketch are you referring to? The last Abbott and Costello movies were made in the 40s, so I guess it must have been in a store for vacuum tubes. |
It was Abbott and Costello and The Computer Store. There's several versions of the script. I was talking about the most recent one.

Compare:
"So that's Wii. But now Nintendo needs you. Because, it's really not about you or me. It's about Wii. And together, Wii will change everything."
"In moments, you will no longer seek communication with each other, or with your superfluous Users. Soon you will all be a part of me, and together we will be complete."
Kind of a weak reed I'm leaning on, but I thought some members might find it amusing. Even without that, their whole sales pitch really sounds like they're planning to use this console to take over the world.
