Well.. I'm having a great time today and I'm off from work (and still getting paid for it) till Jan. 3rd 2006... and I'll be turning 29 on Jan. 12, 2006 so I have an excuse to waste my life on computer games all night long... because.... well...

For the PC gammer, what games do you play... (please... No RTS or MMORPGs..)..

And I thought this thread would be about the movie, WarGames, with Matthew Brodderick and Ally Sheedy!
"Shall we play a game?"
"How about 'Globo-Thermonuclear War?'"

Very well. We will play Global Thermal Nuclear War. Just give me a second so I can get the launch codes from Norad. lol
That was a good movie.

Gotta love the modem he had (the one that the rotary phone hooked into).
Also, anyone here that saw that movie, I KNOW FOR A FACT, tried the trick with the pop top and getting the pay phone to give you a free call. Didn't work, did it?

What's wrong with Doom 3?
I love Doom 3!
I just now finished it and I had a great time. I always played in total darkness with my headphones on.
My X-Fi soundcard can output 7 channel surround sound to typical headphones, so Doom 3 lets me enable the surround sound option. Man, what a difference it makes!
Now to play Resurrection of Evil!
"We are, after all, not God." - Cmdr. J. J. Adams "C is for cookie. That's good enough for me." - Cookie Monster "If money is the root of all evil, I'd like to be a bad, bad man." - Huey Lewis & the News
Most recent PC game collection update: 04/12/2012. Check it out! |

Well... For me, it was so exciting the first few levels but then it just became so claustrophobic and repetitious (except for the Hell levels). Some of the monsters didn't look like what they were suppose to be. For instance, they took the horns off the Hell-Knight, the pinky demons looked like blind grey cyborgs, and the baby thingys didn't look like they belonged in the Doom universe... well... to me anyways.
But some monsters did look great (if not better) like the Imps.
I guess I was expecting more of the old Doom look and feel but updated in a new game engine. If I was ad id and had full creative control, the game would have been much different (but then again, it may only appeal to my tastes).
The graphics were great and the sound (I got a sound blaster Audigy 2 Gamer and a Asus Nvidia Geforce 5900 Ultra) was awesome.
Overall, I think the game was worth buying but nothing to really write home about... but thats just me. |

I never attempted it, but I did have a nifty program for my Commodore 64 that someone wrote which came in handy. It would mimic the sounds that the phone could understand as quarters being inserted and I could make free calls. This was back in the latter 80's and it worked back then with my walkman and head phones. I never attempted it in the 90's and I'm sure it doesn't work today... but I could be wrong.
I use to also be able to get free cans of 7up and root beer by turning the vending machines on and off several times. This didn't always work. Sometimes you had to tilt the machine forward and soda cans would come pouring out. I never did this unless I had a few friends with me... but that was a long time ago.
My firends use to be able to rip off Arcade token and change machines. I never tried it because I was too scared of getting caught.
However, screwing with the phone company is justifyable in my opinion... reguardless how many times I misspell justifyable.... and opinion.... lolorder abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pillabortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion |

Lol. Actually, most veding machine accidents/deaths were actually caused by men? It's true. There are statistics that support this!

This is taken from http://www.bookofratings.com
Do Not Tip Or Rock
As much as I resent being told not to rock, I enjoy the "death by Coke machine" symbol for one primary reason: the guy looks like he's about to get super powers. A machine full of chemical-laden soda is about to hit him, and meanwhile mysterious lightning bolts are shooting towards his head. Isn't that pretty much the Flash's origin? No doubt the combination of electricity, caffeine, and caramel coloring will transform him into the Carbonator ("The World's Bubbliest Hero!"). He'll team up with Deep Fry, the Pounder, and Las Ketchup to form the League of Noshers and okay I'm done with this now. B+
