Anyone notice there is more than just the supercycles and lc's in Tron for the GBA?? Also, the trails have radical different effects to chose from in the setup??
I think Mr. Syd had some fun with redesigning the lc's and BVG couldn't help but incorporate them into the GBA game.
BTW, the game rocks!!

Syd's only designs for TRON 2.0 were the Super Lightcycle. That's it.

I just picked this game up recently for a mere $5 at my local Gamestop. I still have much to explore on it.
I'm super impressed with the amount of voice overs (and quality ones at that) in this game. It's more than in any DS game I've picked up so far. Very cool.
So yeah, since I bought a used copy, it came with a save file containing pretty much every upgrade and mini game available (sweet) so I've been messing around with them all.
The shockwave ability for the light cycles is fantastic. The different light cycle variations are really cool too! I'm particularly impressed with the Z-99 style light cycle coupled with the Gamma style trail.

I do like the mini games they provide you to play. I still play the security one from time to time.
I just wish the Tron emulator wasn't so impossible to control. That REALLY does bum me out.
Otherwise it really was an awesome GBA game.

Have you tried the TRON games in MAME using a trackball mouse? DaveTRON

Speaking of Mame, is there an option to rotate the screen display? Since my laptop is widescreen, the program rotates the game on it's side.

Interesting... any pictures of these new light cycles and their new trail effects floating around? I'd like to see what everyone is talking about.
Thanks,
Carl

If I had a decent digital camera, I'd take some pics for you, but I don't unfortunately.
Here's one I found on google:
^That one's looking like the XR style light cycle using the classic trail.

Not with a trackball, no. I did try setting up MAME with a regular mouse once, for directional purposes, but the MAME setup seemed to only register the mouse BUTTONS, not the rolling of the mouse. I never did get that working correctly.

Interesting... I wonder if there is any pre-production art work out there for these designs like is shown here:

DaveTRON is so you are probably the only one here that would know about it.
