I just want to mention a little something as long as I have your attention (for what it's worth). I have become somewhat of a "drive-by poster" as my job keeps me away from a computer. Just in the future remember that when I post a very vague and nonsensical reply to a post (not that having enough time kept me from doing that to begin with).
Anyway...
Today, 12/26/04, I weigh 260 lbs. I can now wear with relative comfort a 1XL shirt. When I started this endeavor last year I weighed about 330 lbs and wore a 4XL shirt. I have lost 70 lbs and 3 shirt sizes altogether.
I'm not done, though. My goal is to fit into a Large size shirt and/or about 220 lbs. Wish me luck!
Come on, you scuzzy data, be in there.

Eat less and move more. Actually, it's been a case of just throttling back on what I normall have been eating. For instance, when I went through the drive-thru, I would get the doulble cheeseburger & extra-large fries, so I started getting the double-cheeseburger with regular size fries, then throttled back to just the single patty, then no cheese, and so on.
Also, it's been a year, so it averages out to 1.5 lbs per week. It's been terrible slow, but that's the best way.

It's the move more I need to do. I've been walking, but that's not quite enough. Since my little heart scare I have been afraid to get too strenuous, but it's time to take it up a notch. Up to now it's all been maintenance.

I maintain an easy target weight for my height. I gave up eating solid foods years ago, and stick to my diet of proteen pills...

I hear ya, but I haven't been strenuously excersising, just moving. I use some weight machines a little and the threadmill for 15-30 minutes (depending if there's anything good playing on the TVs the gym provides). I can tell you, however, that you'll feel better. Heck, one of the things I notice now is that I don't feel so sluggish in the morning, I get up about 10 minutes before the alarm goes off and I'm awake and aware and great!
Go for it Dave! I'm in your corner on this one!

How tall are you?
Also, my gut is the last bastion of fat on my body as well. If I squeeze it together it looks like a little butt...

Okay. Today, Sunday 01/09/05, I weigh 255 lbs. I have lost about 75 lbs overall and can now fit into size 40 pants (I started out wearing 46-48 sizes). I can now fit comfortably XL shirts without stressing the buttons.
