He told me he's a TRON fan, when I was on Kimmel with him once. He even stumped me with a trivia question. |
What was the trivia question? Don't answer it... let's see if anyone here knows what it is. (No cheating if you saw the episode this was in!)

Jay, I know the question and the answer, but I am going to let you post it.
It was the first thing Jay and I ever talked about. When I was introduced to him the first time, they told him I was the resident TRON nerd at Disney and asked me the same question. I knew the answer! Mainly because I spend so much time here. DaveTRON

You're welcome!
Check out Hero. It's much more in the vein of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. If you liked that film at all, I'd be pretty shocked if you didn't like Hero.
It's nothing like Kill Bill Volumes 1 & 2.

Well, without cheating and going to imdb.com I am going to take a stab at it. Was it "Fast Times", the TV show?

I didn't have a clue. I had to cheat and look it up. Wow - I never even heard of that show. No memory of it at all. Seems she had a very well known co-star on that show too Never would have guessed it in a million macro cycles!

No doubt, my beta routines are still reeling!
PS: I have a Timex Sinclair. Just got it because my dad was gonna throw it out. He thought it was one of the first, if not the first, laptops ever made. Did Sir Clive create it? Does he want to buy it off of me for thousands and thousands of dollars, by any chance?
PPS: I'm pretty sure I saw a TV special a long time ago where they showed parts of Bill Gates' house. He has an arcade room. I could've swore I saw Tron in it. Either that or I fantasized about having an arcade room with Tron in it!! LOL
As for questions to ask people, here are some suggestions. Feel free to use any/not use any:
* Quick: in what year did Tron come out?
* What emotions do you feel inside when you watch Tron?
* True, or false - The flying chracter named "Bit" could only say two things: "Yes" and "No."
* When did you first see Tron?
* How many times have you seen the movie, Tron?
* Have you ever had dreams about Tron? If so, do you remember anything about them?
* Did you know Tron has a "deleted love scene?" Have you seen it? Do you think it should've been included in the final version of the movie?
* Have you ever thrown a frisbee in real life (e.g., as a kid) and pretended it was an identity disc from the movie?
* Would you buy a lightcycle if they were street legal?
* What's your favorite scene from the movie?
* If Tron were re-released in movie theaters nationally, like the original Star Wars trilogy was a few years back, would you go see it?
* Do you have a favorite quote or saying from the movie? If so, what is it?
* How would you describe the movie Tron to someone who knew nothing about Tron?
* Do you think it would be cool, or scary to get beamed into a computer?
* Wanna go ride a light cycle on the game grid right now?
I'm getting out of here right now, and you guys are invited. -----^ |

Sinclair released a US Spectrum version. Sadly, the look of the computer was re-designed against Sir Clive's wishes. It looked, to be honest, god awful. No wonder it never took off in the States. Timex, meanwhile, were the company/factory that produced Sinclair Spectrums, the flat-screen TV, etc. It was based in Dundee, Scotland, just 100 miles north here of Edinburgh. If you're interested in Sinclair products, I would recommend tuning into the Planet Sinclair website.

Hey Red5
Did they make different verisons of the Black Watch with the red led display? Did some searches on the net when you mentioned it cause I have one my grandfather owned, but the images I find on the net are different from the one I have. My grandfathers has the red led display, but watch itself is round with gold colored frame, with a black watch face, with black wrist band.

The lights on the Black Watch are indeed red. To my knowlegde, only one issue of the Black Watch was released. There was a watch/radio released by Sinclair after the Black Watch came out, and it's as rare as the Black Watch itself. I tried to convince Sir Clive to reissue the Black Watch, but once he's finished with something that's that. Which is a shame. Because today, The Black Watch is still the coolest-looking watch in the world. Tap that silver plate and 'zing' up comes the time. They cost a pretty penny on eBay but well worth coughing up the money for. Sir Clive gave me the rest of his 'stash' left lying round the office. I haven't tested them all yet, yet I have no desire to punt them on. Make no mistake: you won't find a smarter LED watch... ever.
