Oy. I fall into a lot of those categories.
Ah, 80's, we love you so.
Come on, you scuzzy data, be in there.

My 80's identifier:
I nearly broke my nose trying to be Indiana Jones and swing from a tree on this whip I had bought down in Mexico, when it gave way and snapped in half. I dirtied my fedora and everything
Did anyone one of you ever actually get into a knock down drag out fight over something that happened to one of your D&D characters? *beams proudly*. I did!

As a child of the 80s, I identify with virtually EVERYTHING on that list!
And I'm proud of it, too!

Ahahahhahaha. I actually have a rotary telephone. Well, it's just sitting around and probably still in good shape.
I'm also a sucker for converse shoes. I have a pair of suede converse shoes that are just too awesome not to wear. (I had another pair of suede ones in high school but they wore out. D'oh. Hand-me down from my older sister...)
Good ol' 80's. I just was able to remember them so well due to my sister who tried to get me to watch 80's movies. (Though, Tron was done on my own... and I managed to out-geek her ever since. ) Kia: Cool. I'm a infamous mythological perfect User.

When I was younger and wore my Izod shirt under my Members only jacket while watching TRON and playing my Intellivision I thought, "Jane, you ignorant slut". DaveTRON

And if you didn't happen to catch the TRON one, here it is:
Honestly remember when film critics raved that no movie could ever possibly get better special effects than those in the movie "TRON." |

I was able to identify most things that were on there. I only caught the tail end of the 80s. It's scary how much I remember!

Haaaaaaaa!!!
** look around at straight-faced people... a few blink and look confused **
Hmm... am I the only one here who gets that?
Ok - cracked me up anyway.
EDIT: Actually, I thought some of those 80's references were a little off. Most of them were pretty funny and very memorable though.
The Star Wars references were hilarious! That was SO me! Was 6 for Star Wars, 9 for Empire, and 12 for Jedi. Everyone was totally in love with Princess Leia's as it was... the slave girl costume pushed her over the edge! Ahhh the memories!
EDIT 2: Ok, I just skimmed them again. I actually SAY this one at work sometimes when we put a good plan together:
"Wonder Twin powers, activate!"
And usually, I just get blank stares. ** sigh **abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

I'm curious about "Jane, you ignorant slut" reference... I've never heard of that one before. Really. I'm familiar with everything else but that. Kia: Cool. I'm a infamous mythological perfect User.

It's from the very first cast of Saturday Night Live. They did a news show segment (which was also responsible for such things as Chevy Chase's immoral line "I'm Chevy Chase, and you're not."), and one part of it was Dan Aykroyd and Jane Curtin doing a "point/counterpoint" bit. Jane would go first, and Dan would start off his rebuttal with "Jane, you ignorant slut".
It was so well known that I didn't have to explain, in the days when my Usenet node was named splut, the reference in my From" line: 'Jay "you ignorant splut!" Maynard'. Jay Maynard, the Tron Guy |
