I'm able to say I've played the game and it is just too unbelieveable for words to describe!
If any of you are fans of Halo, prepare to be blown away!
November 9, 2004, will be a day long remembered as I predict Halo 2 will set new records for sales.
The gameplay is very tight and multiplayer is just a blast!
Now, I can't say where I've played it, or how I got to, but I'm telling you all that if you are anticipating this game, even your highest expectations won't prepare you!

Ok, I've heard so much about Halo. I guess it's one of the few elite games out there that has HUGE followings.
I'm not much of a (PC) gamer. was my first and only PC game to date.
Questions to Halo players:
1) Does one need to be familiar with the original Halo to enjoy the sequel? I know it may make the game continuity more enjoyable to have played the original first, but would Halo 2 hold it's own in terms of playing it fresh (never having played Halo)?
2) How about those of us who have... well, an old and slow computer by today's comparison. I've got a AMD 1.3GHz processor, 512MB RAM (PC1600), and an Nvidia Geforce2 w/32MB RAM. So... would my old computer be able to handle the graphics a new game like this puts out WITHOUT having to turn off all the cool effects? Be honest now. My PC barely held TRON 2.0 @ 800x600 with all FX turned on - frame rate varied between about 20 fps and 50 fps (guestimates based on smoothness of animation).
3) What is the expected game play of this game, in terms of how many hours might one expect to take to play through the single player adventure portion of the game?
Thanks

Their is no offical word wiether there will be a pc version or not. I'm 90% sure they will do a pc launch though...probably with more goodies again I've played halo 2 as well at ms, and i thought it was a good game, but its not blows the doors off of everything kindof title like the hype suggests. The halo fans will go nuts over it, heck even the quasi halo fans will. But I didnt really get into it...feels kindof tired. I didnt for halo either (lvl design was aweful).
you dont need to have played halo to understand whats going on in halo 2 but they do make references back to the origonal several times.

I didn't play a French copy.
If you must know, I was able to join a Beta testing friend of mine for multi-player. So, no need for any attacks here, Harpo! I just don't want to give any names because I don't know if he was allowed to show it to his friends or not.
Can't tell you anything about PC stuff. I would figure Bungie would shoot it to PC, since they did with the original Halo.
I don't know how the story for Halo 2 will unfold, but from what I've read, it wouldn't hurt to have an idea of what happened in the first game. And the first game has a GREAT story! It's kind of like Aliens meets Starship Troopers.
However, you can read the series of books available in paperback to get more in-depth stuff on the Halo universe, if you don't want to play the game.
Master Chief is a darn cool cat, and he has one hell of a story.
Again, can't tell you about the storyline stuff, but I can tell you that the multi-player stuff is top-notch, tight and tons of fun! Lots of different gaming options and HUGE boards to play on!abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

Sorry, Pimpdragon! ...very sorry.
It just had struck me as suspicious that I had heard of such a thing, then you popped up and mentioned getting to play Halo 2, but not being able to tell us how. I just drew the first conclusions without first considering the options, and I am very sorry. (plus, I wasn't having the greatest of days when I wrote that...)
So... no hard feelings, I hope... I'll edit my post if you'd like- And I have to say that you are quite fortunate, IMO, to have played Halo 2.

Halo 2 is going to ROCK! I can't wait! I've already preordered it through Amazon.
Halo is the reason I bought an XBox. It's the first game I've played that has a really gripping story line.
Todd, If you want to know what happened in Halo without playing it, look into buying the Halo:Flood paperback. I recommend all the Halo paperbacks BTW. They add SO much to an already incredible story.
The way Flood is written, it takes you through the game as if you had played it.on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill online

Thanks for the info on Halo, Rerezzed Ram
I didn't realize that Halo 2 was an Xbox game. There seemed to be so much buzz about it I figured it was another PC game. I like the console games though - they work flawlessly (comparatively speaking) on ANYONE'S console... because they were specifically designed around the SAME hardware. BUT, I do not own an Xbox, nor do I have one in the budget plans right now. Oh well.
So "Flood" is like the written experience of playing Halo? Interesting. I'd rather experience it than read about it though. That's what I love about great games - living the experience first hand (in a virtual kind of way). Perhaps I'll have to check out Halo (the original) sometime.

No prob, Harpo. I just didn't want people getting the wrong idea.
I have my 2-disc limited edition tin collectors' set reserved for November 9th! Even IF I had a French copy, you can bet your butt I'd have my reserved copy, if for only the fact that I don't speak French and would like to UNDERSTAND what I'm playing!
I agree that playing Halo is much better than READING it. It's such a solid game and still the reason to own an X-Box.
Well, until November 9th!
But, if you have a PC, give Halo a try. If not, and you can still find them, they have a Halo edition X-Box for $189.99 that includes Halo, a limited green X-Box and a Halo official green controller.
Or, buy an X-Box for $149.99 and buy Halo used for like $20 and enjoy what is one of the finest games I've ever played.
Also, in December we get on the X-Box (and PC, I do believe) Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, which I can't wait for!
So, check out Halo 2 - if the game is HALF as fun as the multiplayer, it will rock the casbah harder than The Clash!order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

Reviews have been good for Tron 2.0 on the X-Box, but it's not anything NEAR Halo 2.
How about this: Halo 2 sold $125 million in copies on the FIRST DAY.
No Hollywood big-budget film has ever done that (and probably never will) and no game has even come close!
I look forward to Tron 2.0 on X-Box Live, but I have to say that Halo 2 is just un-frickin'-believable!

First, nobody get me wrong, I'm a big fan of the Halo series. Played the original all the way through on my friend's X-box and done plenty of late-night multiplayer parties on it.
I'm just wondering now if this is the first indication that Microsoft has actually found a way to 'monopolize' gaming the way they already have with PC operating systems. No doubt I expect that it's an absolutely excellent game, but out of all the titles ever released since the beginning of time... do you think it's really the game itself that's mainly pulling off these sales or a lot of unbelievably brilliant marketing strategies?

Halo has had an incredible amount of Marketing behind it. XPlay on TechTV just drools over it every time they mention it.
I think in the case of Halo 2 it's a healthy combination of a great first title, a massive marketing blitz and a great followup game.
I think it has earned it's props from what I hear so far.

Just stoped in for a sec.
I'm a huge PC gamer. I haven't had a game concel since the SEGA Genesis (sold it for an Amiga). So the awe of Halo was installed on my PC when it was released a little while back. It's a good game. I can't say I was too impressed since PC games are quite a ways ahead of concel game ports, but the game play and story was awesome. GFX was better too, but thats because PC users can run these ports in higher res. Remember Vice City.
I've seen previews of Halo 2 and I really hope that it too is later released for the PC. It looks like a great game.

Well, I have the game (stood in line at 11:00 p.m. on November 8, had it by 12:10 a.m. November 9) and I've beaten it on Normal mode.
This is, bar none, the best game I've played this year. I was always a big fan of the original, as I loved the storyline, music, character designs, scenic designs and the tight gameplay. Plus, multi-player LAN was da bomb, yo (just like Affleck in Phantoms)!
This game takes all that was great about the first one and makes it like 30 times better!
They got some great voice actors (Keith David, Michael Wincott, David Cross, Laura Prepon, Michelle Rodriguez, Orlando Jones) and the storyline this time is told more from the Covenant's point of view. We learn more about their history and their religion and it's outstanding stuff!
The graphics and gameplay are major overhauls from the original. It's a pretty game, plain and simple. From Earth to new worlds, it's just gorgeous. You feel like you are in the game and that's why it succeeds.
The ending is rather abrupt. There will DEFINITELY be a Halo 3, although I suspect we won't see it until the launch of the X-Box Next (or X-Box 2). It's like The Empire Strikes Back of videogames!
Multiplayer has gotten even cooler with the X-Box Live world. There are ALWAYS tons of people to play with and neat matches to be had. No two games are ever the same. You can create your own clan (like you could have the Tron-Sector Clan) and put together your own group to play together whenever you want and to build your own games versus playing what's already set up online. There are jerks online, so this is a great way to get around playing a bunch of camping 12-year olds!
Overall, if you own an X-Box, there is NO REASON ON EARTH for you to not to own this game (unless you are one of those folks who gets sick from FPS games - then I guess you do have a reason)!
Now we get Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic in December! And Metroid Prime: Echoes and Viewtiful Joe 2 hit the GameCube this month! WOOOOOOOOT!!!!

When I play Halo 2, I can't help but notice the dated graphics when compared to the PC, unfortunately The graphics aren't very sharp and they're kinda cartoony looking. That's somewhat okay, though, because it's still a fun game; and I may be getting an X-Box soon with Halo 2 anyways. I definitelyrespect the console, but I wish iX-Box 2s were out so it would be more technologically caught up with PCs I still would like to get Tron: Killer App!abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

Well, Halo 2 is light years above Halo in graphics. Textures are much stronger with real-time reflections and shadows adding strong depth to the look.
I love the design of the characters. I think they are meant to have a bit of a cartoonish style. It's just how the artists designed the game. I also think that if you were to immerse yourself in the game, you'd not be thinking about the graphics as much. It's pretty engrossing stuff.
SPOILER ALERT............The only downside to the game is its rather abrupt ending. I liked it, only because it felt like the conclusion of The Empire Strikes Back (everything has gone to HELL and you've got to set things right - only next game). A buddy of mine said it best when he said Halo 2 is the best commercial for Halo 3 one could ask for! So, while the ending is just that - an ending, overall I still say it will be game of the year. The only games that may beat it would be Metroid Prime: Hunters or possibly Viewtiful Joe 2. Maybe Tron 2.0. ..................SPOILER END.
If you haven't played multi-player on X-Box Live, you're missing the best part about the game! It supports the strongest online play any console will ever see!
Tron 2.0 is getting good reviews for the X-Box. The X-Box Live online portion is supposed to be incredibly deep and very smooth. I hope to have it for Christmas!
If you get on Live, let me know! We can hook up and play! And thanks to the headset and microphone, we can talk to each other all the way through!where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online
