UNCA’s Humanities department is going to be screening TRON as a “special Halloween event.” This should be a great opportunity for those out there (myself included) who have never been to a public showing of TRON. It looks like a fun experience and the flyer circulating says: “Costumes are encouraged.” I’ll be taking pictures, and if they come out well, I’ll figure out some way to post them. Here are the details if anyone can make it (probably a long shot, but I thought I’d let everyone know):

Very cool that they are doing this. Too bad I am nowhere near NC!

Wow, the TRON screening was amazing. Viewing this movie with a group of people is a totally different experience. It’s just like watching it for the first time (for many who attended, it was). Everybody laughed at Jeff Bridge’s one-liners, gasped in awe at the right moments, it was great. Being a small campus, somewhere around 30 people came. Since we had to compete with Halloween frat parties, however, that’s still a pretty good turnout.
